This is a terrific story. Not only are Amanda and Sarek well written, but the various alien species and their lore, especially Yoost, are both original and very rich.

Bart is a good side-character. His personality eye-catching.

Your story was good, I like the ending that the older Vulcan was Sarek's grandfather and won his approval. I'm surprised that Amanda doesn't know Vucan?

Well I loved it - as I love any well written stories about Sarek and Amanda.
I do think (my take) that Amanda is - should be - a more assertive savvy character. You have her a tad cowed by her situation on Vulcan, but perhaps she needs the support of family and to enter the fray of Sarek's Vulcan family, with the give and take of family politics.
She might struggle there as you have made it clear that she has no real family experience of her own to compare.

She is a very much a 1950/60 idea of a young wife learning about her husband after the marriage. Written in the style of Rebecca -du Maurier , learning the mystery of her husband and his family after a too-swift courtship and marriage.
