I'm rereading this story and I'm shocked and appalled to see that I never reviewed this particular chapter. I love everything about it. Your "morning after" depiction is perfect, as is your description of Wilson's uncanny ability to read House. I loved the Foreman scene where he tries to warn House (you captured him perfectly there), and I love how House tried to get out of the deal but how Cameron knew exactly how to work him. Just completely excellent!

Strange, I thought I had left a review before! Sorry about that. I adored this story. The understanding between them, the banter, and of course, the hot s*x!

I love how portrayed House as completed intoxicated by Cameron in this chapter. It has a wonderful rhythm to it.

The moment with his scar was beautifully written. If House were ever really to tell Cameron that she helped his pain, I would die and go to heaven. Loved it.

This was my favorite part of this one:

"Have you always lived here?"

Opening the freezer compartment, House contemplates the empty ice-tray inside before shutting it again.

"Define always."

Don't ask me why it's my favorite. It just rang true.

I wish that scene had really played out like this. I loved this line: "You want to know what keeps me up at nights? Pain. Want to know what I miss? Running. Want to know what I need?"

Taking the bottle out of his inside pocket, he holds it in her face, pops off the top one-handed and palms the pill.

"I need this."

This was a beautiful, wonderful story. You are an extremely talented writer. Thank you for gifting us with this!

man, you got me with the first paragraph. first: the idea of comparing his leg to cameron is so obvious, yet so brilliant. then: the fact that even in house's narration, he's still insulting foreman with prison jokes. then: "How come her supportive girlfriends were always black in these scenarios?" - the idea that he's had this scenario multiple times is hilarious, as is the dig at the stereotpyical token sassy black friend.

i could go on, but i'll just sum it up as: i love your writing.

Specialy the: "You..." he finds her mouth and her kiss is breathless, warm and breathless against his lips. "You help." That was a great line.

That was absolutely gorgeous. It took a moment for FIN to compute, lol :( I love the domestic scene you painted, yet it wasn't cliched or ovely sentimental- it was just right for their characters. Lovely ending.
