I liked this. I think it might be the first thing I've read about Krum and is captures him quite nicely. I was surprised that you called it a "dear John" letter. I thought that was a Mormon thing. A letter that a young man gets while on his mission that an old girl friend is tired of her boy friend being away for two years and is dumping him. Anyway, nice story.

Oh, wow, this is really good - I really do like Viktor, and I was always rather sad that the movie butchered him rather badly. And especially, I really like that Viktor is so much a part of the 'good guys,' when so often he is not.

This is a really great story. I never really thought of Viktor after GoF, but this made me realize that he may still love Hermione. Anyway thanks for posting, i love it!

I love it, Viktor was never really personified to my satisfaction... this, this is definately wonderful.

Oh my God, this is absolutely heart-wrenchingly beautiful. I'm up at 1 am reading this, that's how good it is.

Very spare and "unemotional" but with clear emotion running underneath, just like Viktor himself. "He minds." Great, great line...like the rest of it. And then of course there is this line: "He’ll talk to Charlie Weasley, of course. He’ll do whatever Charlie asks of him." We see how stoic he is and will be before you even enumerate it.

Wonderfully done. I can even sense the rain and the cold gray of the room (I see things like a movie when I read, but even if I didn't I think you'd be able to impart that).

This was beautiful! Victor was just perfect, and that's Hermione's voice in the letter...excellent job!

I like that you made Victor a decent guy - in so many fanfiction stories, he's positively Neanderthal. Well done.
