I have a feeling that the wild magic will affect his magical core one way or another. I really like the Harry and Flint's relationship. I'm curious about what will happen to the war. Your Harry isn't the type to sacrifice himself or to fight for others as shown in the earlier chapter where he didn't save Hermione. Will he be involved in politics? How powerful will he become? Is Gustav an important character here in the story? What will be everybody's reaction on the fact that his magic is damaged? I'm really captivated with how you write. Sometimes it's poetic and sometimes it's straight to the point. Something which I adore and love. I can't wait for more and hopefully this Harry will change the Wizarding world for the better without the bloodshed. War is something that children shouldn't fight in because the adults ignored the danger and their responsibilities.

Considering Harry's personality, and his dislike for know-it-alls... I wonder if Hermione will manage to only have her legs smashed by the troll, or if she'll die alone -with how the teachers showed up just a few minutes too late?

Cuz this Harry is not kind, nor a hero. And I SINCERELY doubt he'd EVER try to rescue anyone. Only himself.

It would take years for him to trust someone enough to even care about them, and that only if he experienced people who truly loved him -combined with psychotherapy enough to allow himself to care back.

Right now, he's most likely both incapable AND terrifyed of caring about other people.

Which means Hermione is fucked. Cuz Ron sure as hell didn't care. Or remembered her. And if I recall correctly, he even tried talking Harry OUT of saving her. (Although I admit it HAS been a long time since I read the books.)

I find it hard to believe he'd like the twins as well. But I guess it depends on who they target. He'd never forgive a slight, but they might amuse him if they pranked his enemies. Time will tell... lol

I do quite enjoy your fic thus far.

I'm suprised he isn't as rude as he was in the muggle world. Wizards could have needed the reality check when their false image of a savior meet the rude reality.

Either way, this is a very good fic thus far. I hope you stay with the logic and the logical consequences of Harry's personality, and don't get tempted to make up excuses to follow canon Harry's actions and choices.

This may well be the best fic I've read in a LONG time if you do that. (And I read ALOT of fanfics.)

I’m loving this alternate take on book 1 so far. All the five I’ve read have bored me with this part, but not yours.
