So amazing like seriously!

I'm really very impressed with how these duels are written out. They're detailed and incredibly well thought-out, but at the same time they're not TOO detailed and they keep your attention. Well-done.

Marik. [BLEEP] Now what?

The arc's Big Bad's nastiest weapon just got pwned by Mai. Yes.

(I know, Power of Friendship and all, but considering that the only major onscreen victory Mai gets in the anime is when she's out of her head on dark magic...)

I knew it! Mai flirting her way past him, showing up at the ball, those could have been a coincidence, but: "Once is circumstance, twice is coincidence and three times is enemy action." Someone lied to Joey about Mai not being with the pursers. Evan said no one was down in the gym and lied about when it closed. He always just happened to show up when Mai was at her most vulnerable, and only stopped being a royal pain and getting in everyone's way after they were in too deep to go back. I wasn't sure if he was a henchman, the main villain slumming it or just an insufferably normal pain with incredibly bad timing, but he was definitely suspicious. He was just too stubbornly normal.

Boy did I have absolutely NO IDEA that this Evan Haines character was anything more than a wrench to throw into the Joey/Mai relationship (and later, for the whole gang with his magic card game skepticism). And then you completely blindside me by having him turn out to be a frickin’ villain? You’re sick! Don’t ever change. He played the role masterfully, reading back I could see elements of it mixed in very, very subtly. Very well done.

After a brilliant set-up for the Shadow Duelists (nice team name, by the way) in the last chapter, it was interesting to see further development with the misguided Shadow Games and the former Pharaohs. As well as gave a surprising nod to the memory of Kisara and, presumably, the other spirits of the Cards. I got shivers. And I think I wet my pants when they found out what was underneath that fake gold.

Someone obviously does their research, I’d completely forgotten about Weevil and Rex’s brush with the Shadow Realm in that one instance with Bakura mentioned. And the Eye of Truth certainly made things much more interesting to watch during their duel, the questions helped break up some of the tension. And then add whole new layers to it. And then that just about tripled in the Chamber beyond.

Oh wow... Tea just saved the day... with dancing. Ha. I did actually like that, but if I did, then I LOVED to death when she got creamed by Evan and Yugi nearly went all Hulk on him. And then you go and trump both of those with Serenity going all mystic on everyone. Wow. Once Orichalcos was mentioned, however, I immediately thought of the Dragons and the Monster Realm. I wonder what became of the Timaeus, Hermos, and Critias cards? Halfway through your story I had to do research! It was THAT good!

Much as I enjoyed the tension and the fear of Shadow Games, once they had the edge, I loved how the protagonists tore into their opponents with tag-team kick-assery. Beautifully awesome. That’s why I loved this show and that’s why this fanfic series rates number one.

I was going to leave one big review once I completely caught up on this series, but allow me to say this: I TOTALLY CALLED IT BACK IN PART 1! *ahem* now if you'll excuse me... *returns to reading*

Without a doubt you write the greatest yo-gi-oh duel monster battles that i have ever read. In fact i am shocked at how good your fight scenes were. Congrats.

When I first saw your pen name, I was expecting you to be a puzzleshipper. Imagine my surprise when I looked and saw peachshipping and polarshipping. I've been looking for stories like this for a while now.

I was intimidated by the length of you series but since it's summer break here, I figured, why not? I started reading this just a few days ago and I love it! There's no way I'll get bored reading this. I mean, I've been reading this since evening and now it's already 6 am on my side of the world. Yesterday, I woke up and my first thought was, "I wonder what happens next."

The plot, your writing style...everything was just pure genius.

You have have every unresolved, hidden, personal problems of the YGO cast, a tournament, a returning evil and a new evil and it all somehow works perfectly.

You managed to depict the characters, in my opinion, very accurately and even managed to make very acceptable justifications for the times when they seem a little OOC. Heck, their OOC-ness is part of the plot. I mean really, how many writers could make their characters somewhat OOC and still make their characters sound in-character? You managed to convey their emotions so well that the reader could easily sympathize with them.

You used fairly simple words to convey such a complex plot. I admit that there are times when there are words I don't understand but that's only because my English vocabulary is lacking. Furthermore, the reader-friendly way you wrote this story in is helping me understand those words simply by using context clues and not looking into a dictionary.

I thank you for writing a beautiful series and I shall continue to read the rest of it.

What he heck does he want with Marik? It would just be too cruel if he was manipulated again into being the bad guy; he learned better after Battle City, right?

Break time! The good guys will get some rest while the evil dude plots. It's how it always works, isn't it? Still, you did a great job with this! I love how you subtlety hinted at the solution to their dueling problem throughout the whole story, it was brilliant! You never let on as to what was really going on.

Well, I'm off to read the next installment. Again, great job!

I KNEW IT! The guy never sat well with me, the only reason I stopped suspecting him was because he seemed so nice. But, as soon as he forced himself into their little group they all came back. He insisted on going with them and didn't bother looking for backup among the other crew members once he got the okay. His position throughout the entire story was just too convenient. Now I feel all smug, I love it when I read a story right.

The Ring is messing with her head, I just know it is!
