If you read the Special chapter in Volume 1, the rogue "samurai" demanded a ransom of 1000 Yen from this rich merchant. (He was very wealthy, and they kidnapped his only grandaughter) Another note, I think Kaoru definitely asked Kenshin to stay. Anyway, the story was still good. :) |
