I just finished reading this story. When Aerith died in the game, I cried. When Zack died at the end of Crisis Core, I was crying hysterically, I lost my best friends again at the end of your story too. I was hoping that they would survive your story, but alas I was wrong. I am glad that they are together, don't get me wrong, but it is the pain that their friends and family are going through. However, I appreciate the fact that you kept to the original as much as you did, and tied it all together at the end. Dammit, I hate crying! I did laugh at some of Zacks comments, like when he was running naked in the shinra building and asked the guy if he was jealous, and the short stories that him and Cloud shared just before Zack knocked him out. I am debating on reading your sequel now or in a couple of days. I think I need to get over the loss of "my good friends." Thank you for sharing your heart with me in your delightful writing.

wow this is a really good fanfic! The part with Cid and the spider had me laughing for a while. Who uses a gun to kill a spider. Sorry for not reviewing i was just really eager to find out what happens next.

*claps and wipes tears* this story was amazing! i loved every part of it. You broke my heart over and over, i truly felt Zack's pain. It's a shame you had them stay dead, i was really hoping you would have them come back. :( maybe you will make me very happy in the sequel! I hope so! You really are a truly amazing author! Your detail was great, I am still blown away by this story. It will haunt me for weeks just thinking about it! And i would like my hours of sleep i missed reading this story back! I couldn't stop! You are responsible for my insomnia! I love you! You made me very happy!

Well even though it's been a few years since you wrote this story, I wanted to review. I don't think there was any part of it that I didn't feel some of emotion or really feel the action of the story. This was simply...amazing.

Reviewing way too late, i know, but i really wanted to finish reading this before i wrote a review. This story is very,very good. How you fit Zack's quest into the actual game storyline, which is very accurate, is amazing and you understand every charater's personality very well, except one person, and this is my single complaint about the fic, but I'll talk about that in a sec. All the romantic, action, and humerous moments were extremely well written and characters emotions, all except one (like i said, ill get to that in a moment) were near perfect. Now on to what i didn't like. You did a half-way good job at portraying Cloud's personality,but you made him far too carring. True that Cloud had feelings for Aerith up until the point in the game where she died, and since the characters didn't monolauge in the game, i can't really say cloud didn't think the thoughts about Aerith he did in your fic. But there were a few moments i had to shake my head and say that Cloud would never do this. A few examples from the early chapter: When Cloud and company are preparing to leave the morning at Kalm, you made him slightly to silly. I find it hard to picture cloud carrying a bagel in his mouth and also smiling as much as he does, not only in Kalm, but throughout the story. Although i'm not saying Cloud never smiles, he doesn't smile nearly as much as he does in this flic. Another is when Cloud is attacked by the giant serpent outside the mines and HE is the first one to run. Once again, not saying Cloud wouldn't run, but Cloud somewhat has the personality of a bodyguard and made sure everyone else was safe before he was. But the one that really got me was in the mythril mines, when cloud thought to himself 'She needs to stop keeping all her feelings bottled up. It’s gonna ruin her some day'. Cloud would NEVER say this since he believes everyone would be better off if they dealt DID keep their feelings to themselves and deel with it themselves, much like Squall from VI. I'm sorry i focus a lot on this one point, but Cloud has been my favorite ff character since VII came out and it upsets me when a writer cannot get him right. But don't worry, you're not the only one and you're certainly not the worst. Final Review: Excellent, excellent, excellent story, possibly the best facfic i've ever read based around ff, but in the future, work on you're Cloud.
