I love it! It's so cute. This is why ShikaTema SHALL happen! To parody the irony of his desired 'normal life' and to draw a parallel to his scary mother.

The comparisons to what he wanted and what he got were sweet. The description of his daughter was cute as could be. (She wants to marry her Grandad? Daw.) And last line was adorable.

I really liked the way it ended. But it was interesting that you didn't put 'how troublesome' here. It's the first fanfiction I've read that didn't have it. xD But it works, so it's okay.

My favorite line here is " Shikamaru might still have a shot at dying before his spouse, though. There's not much either of them might do about that, although he suspects that Temari will die right when he does just to spite him. " Very in character.
