Guest chapter 1 . 10/17/2019 Hello! My name is Tomoro and I’m at student at Harvard University (I’m sure if you looked me up a newspaper article would pop up lol). I just wanted you to know that I have a presentation in my Ancient Greek Tragedy class and their modern interpretations and I’m using your fanfic in it. Thanks for giving me a good resource! :) |
BakerStreetIsLastRefugeOfHope chapter 1 . 4/16/2009 A great story. Very good. |
BladedBlossom chapter 1 . 8/1/2006 This was a great effort. It was succinct and yet still managed to elicit pity. It's awesome you mentioned Helenus, so that Andromache ended her life bearably at least. I think it was really lucky that Andromache became Hector's brother's wife, since she could love him and he'd be good to her. Sure it wouldn't be exactly the same, but I always got the impression Andromache did love Helenus, in the way she could. Maybe not as deeply as Hector, but more than a mere sister, you know? Anyway, great job. |
adriana chapter 1 . 5/12/2006 this was a lovely short summary of andromache's life. you managed to summon the strength of the character very quickly which is very hard to do. i can truly believe this is how Andromache would have felt. its a shame you don't plan to continue in this area; perhaps good reviews will change your mind? |
Rian Sage chapter 1 . 5/10/2006 I really liked this story. I realize it's not your normal stuff, but it's still very good. You did a great job at capturing her thoughts and emotions. What a great way to get an A! |
Angie chapter 1 . 5/9/2006 You know, I always seriously hated the fact that Andromache was forced as a concubine for Achilles's son. Being the heartless person I was, I always wondered why she just didn't committ suicide- but I understand how she had to go on for Hector. Great One-Shot, by the way! :) Write more on Andromache and Hector! |
cookie chapter 1 . 5/7/2006 wow! i never knew andromache ended up remarrying.. is this all fact or is this the result of your wonderful story telling skills? .~ anyways, either way, i'm glad to finally have a clue (fiction or not) about what happened to andromache after the fall of troy! |
Constant Distraction chapter 1 . 5/7/2006 I've also always loved Andromache, though I mostly use her as a looking glass to see the many sides of Hector, my hero. I think you characterized her perfectly, and I loved the emotions that came across, especially during the killing of Astyanax. This was just an all-around beautiful piece of work, and I truly enoyed reading it. I hope you'll write more Troy stuff, especially stories that follow myth, not movie. This is going on my favorites list for sure! Again, I'm very impressed. ~Spider |
Sappho33 chapter 1 . 5/7/2006 All I can say is wow! I my self am a classics minor and enjoyed your research sincerely. You are a great writer, I think this one of the best one-shots I have read. |
