I discovered this fic shortly before chapter 48 was published, and re-read it numerous times since. It had been years now since last time I'd revisited it, and I have loved it as much as the first time. The atmosphere created in this fic is just superb, and the plot is so enthralling...!
I'm sad that one of my favourite fics of all time hasn't been updated in such a long time. My life has changed a lot since then, and I feel nostalgic and somewhat comforted when reading Descent and realising that, no matter how many years have passed, I'm still the same person.
If you ever log in again, know that at least one person still has hope that one day you'll come back to this fic!

I cannot expressed the amount of physical pain and mental turmoil I am in right now. This fic is literally the best fanfic I have ever read in my entire hecking existance and it was beautiful- only to find that it was abandoned. On ZaKais livejournal they state that they were going to finish this fic no matter what,but I guess that's not happening giving this fic hasn't been updated in 8 years. And to top it off ZaKai had been working on numerous firs until his permanent inactivity in 2015. ZaKai, why must you do this to me. I need to know what happens after als arrested, I need to see Ed and Al make amends, I need to know what happens with the war against the rebellion, I'm dying for more interaction between Ed and Mustang, I need to see their relationship deepen! Overall, this fanfiction is a masterpiece in itself with a deeply complex plot that I thouroughly enjoyed, but I cried when I found out it wasn't finished. Now I'll just have to make up my own ending to this fanfiction. How disappointing.

I was in chapter 45 when I realized this story wasn't completed and the latest chapter was back in 2010. My fault for not checking. Just want to thank you for all of the excellent writing you've done for this story. It's very intriguing and entertaining. Also grateful that this ended off with Ed meeting up with Roy. I hope you continue this story. I realize it would be pretty difficult to get back to the fanfic groove. Maybe take it on as a 2017 challenge? [nudge nudge] Compare 2010 writing to 2017.
