This was a very interesting read. I like the friendship between Sheppard and Weir here, and appreciated the anger and frustration caused by the different perspectives. It helps me a bit to see where Weir is coming from on the show, although I'm a bit like John and get frustrated with her at times.

I keep thinking the alien scanner things must not be all the thorough, because although John CAN be violent without hesitation when necessary, he's not really a violent person. He doesn't WANT to fight constantly. He fights to keep his people safe. The aliens are kind of stupid not to get the distinction...unless, of course, they figure that out during the 'testing'...so I'll shut up now.

I've already read some of your stories but until now, this is the one I liked most. I don't know what to tell you about it except that I really enjoyed reading it and thought that it was well written, especially concerning the characters - even though it's already been a few years.

WOW! This is s the BEST Stargate fic I have ever and I mean EVER read! This is so incredible, amazingly, fantastically well written! I'm speechless! I do not have the words to describe how great this story really is! I could say marvelous, but it goes way past that and amazing does not even scratch the surface! You described the characters so incredible well! The feelings they feel and everything about them is just so incredible real! Every person you wrote about in this story is just like what I see when I watch the series, every single one of them and that is a wonderful job! You really nailed them just like they are in the show and your story would make an excellent episode or a book or a movie! It really is that awesome! If the favorite list could have stars your story would rank the top! It really is the BEST story I have ever read, it's better than any other story I have read so you should be very proud of this master piece!

Your story was a pleasure to read and every time I ended one chapter I could not wait to start another! You kept the excitement, the tension and the suspense to the last dot.

The whole plot of your story is excellent and the way you draw in all the different situations is amazing.

A great adventure story!

The idea of the trial was interesting and the story very well written. I liked that John wanted to hide from Elizabeth the fact that his priority was to get her back to the gate even if that cost him his life, but she figured it out soon. You wrote so well the inner conflicts of the characters. My favourite parts were the last two chapters. It was a very good ending for the story.

And here I leave you another review for another great story (at this rate I'll probably end up reading everything you've got down on your profile page). But anyways, great job! I love that it's solely focused on the military commander and the expedition leaders of Atlantis with no shipping of sorts. Just plain, old, friendship through a very rough trial by fire. _ Great job!

Excellent job! Thank you for steering me to this fic, although, I've vowed to read all of your Stargate fics as I've become a fan, but I still thank you.

Loved the Shep and Weir friendship and their interaction during the course of their attempt to escape the planet and the trial. It was so very Shep in the way he felt the need to protect Elizabeth to the end, with his last breath if need be. Then, when she picked up that gun. *gulp* It was emotionally gut wrenching. Loved all of it!

I really hope you're writing more Shep and Weir friendship stories.. if I can't have them romantically entangled, my second fav is to have them interacting in that manner. Again, lovely work this story. Really kept me on my toes wondering what was going to happen next.

I liked this so much that I couldn't get myself out of this chair. So I read it until it was gone and mourned it's loss.

It is nice to read a well ploted story, written in correct English, obeying canon, where the characters all stay in character. I love that Sheppard gets to be Sheppard, struggles with conflicting priorities, acts like an intelligent observer and stratigist, shows off his hero complex, and in general gets to be the man he is supposed to be.

I also like that there is more going on, that there are addition characters that contribute to the story and that there is a mystery to wonder about (Though I never figured out how Sheppard might have just ignored the soldiers). I thought the whole McKay, jumper, energy, satilites, drone ect really added to the rich texture of the story.
