Hmm, it's almost a pity that it wasn't Dillingham who was shot instead of the other 3 officers. Another highly emotional story but again I liked not only the way you handled the issues but the ending. The release of guilt because of one of the officers at the scene agreeing about the wrongness of the actions of the night and also the humor between Blair and Jim. Leaving Jim more lighthearted and offering the hope of healing in the future. Great job.

Good story! I have to admit I have a soft spot for stories where Blair's resourcefulness and determination, not to mention his protectivness, come through. One comment, though - Blair's last name is spelled "Sandburg". There are a bunch of great resources on the Web if you want to check things like that...
