Kaley's so adorable! This is a really great two-shot!

One of the hardest things to do is to write a "routine" story. That is, where the characters have a fairly ordinary task at hand, handle it in a competent fashion, and all is well at the end. So often authors are tempted by the idea of doing a spectacular, sweeping, epic sort of tale, with lots of action, heroism, angst, drama, and so on.

But when somebody tackles the "routine" story and does it well, it is a joy to read. This story is just such a gem. Somebody needs to be rescued, Kim, Ron & Rufus arrive on the scene, and they do a good, workmanlike job of rescuing, toot sweet! You make Kaley a real character at the same time. That takes work, for how easy is it to fill in a character's characteristics when they are stuck at the bottom of a well for most of the story?

Whitem, this is a well-written and very enjoyable piece. I could see this as a 15-minute half-episode in the TV series with no trouble at all. If you get another idea like this, please write it and post it. You have the characters just right, and set the story against the general universe of the TV series very well.

Cool, she knew so much about Kim and Ron but how did she know about Kim being pregnant? Oh well, it was still very cool how Kim rescued Ron and little Kaley. The use of MMP was pretty cool to read in use as well.

I'm sure Ron was more than pleased to be recognized though, which made the rescue all the more cool. :)

this was a gd story and it had a very sweet ending too it. gd job

whitem delivers the good in this lean, well-paced story. He left us scratching our heads at the end of chapter 1 as we wondered why Ron, not Kim, went down the shaft and provided an answer that surprised and satisfied, indeed delighted, in chapter 2.

Kim, Ron, and Rufus were in character, and Kaley was a nicely drawn OC.

And we now have the reason for why she didn't climb down that hole. Frankly though that girl knows too much. She must be silenced! That or everything she knows be released to the local conspiracy guys thus making sure it's never believed in public. Either way. Anyway good fic.

Enjoyed the story. Ron doesn't get to take the lead often enough. Particularly liked the way he handled the little girl.

Ron's a dad, YAY (hm, isn't it father's day wkend?). And it's only 6 months 12 days into it, he got busy (not that I blame him) and I have to say kudos for knowing how many days too, 'cause I have forgotten my own birthday before.

Anywho, I love the interaction with Ron and Kaley, kinda goes to show Ron is ready (well aas ready as any parent can be) for a kid, and kids are more observant than we give them credit for (not many people would have thought about Kim being pregnant just becausee she didn't come down the hole).

I love your stuff, keep writing, for the sake of all that is good in this world, keep writing.
