What an interesting take on Zorro, with the first person point of view! So unusual, yet refreshing, especially for a one shot story such as this one. It made me chuckle to read so many of Diego's thoughts and retorts to Rosarita's comments, but of course he cannot say any of those out loud. I particularly enjoyed the fact that he believed his subterfuge was a bit too effective (but yet doesn't seem to be quite just the thing for his father who seems a bit more suspicious). I loved the way he keeps on to his choice of not revealing his identity to Rosarita, such a difficult decision yet one true to Diego's heart.

I truly enjoyed reading this story. I added it to my favorites!

This is beautifully written. I’m not usually a fan of the first person narrative in fanfiction, but this drew me in immediately. It was truly heartbreaking to read how much Diego wanted to let Rosarita see the real him, but couldn’t let her in. Thank you so much for sharing this spellbinding story! :-)

*bursts into tears* I've watched the series a thousand times over! And tears well up when I see him as himself with the ladies... and cannot tell them who he is. Especially when they insult him for it. BEAUTIFUL! It was simply BEAUTIFUL.

omg, that's so sad. i've always thought it was depressing how he lived...never letting anyone inside to see the real him, for fear they would be hurt. never having a normal life. anyways, it was a great story! keep up the good work!
