NerdyNel chapter 1 . 4/30/2010
Even though they never saw him again, Obi-Wan's parents never stopped loving him with all their hearts. What a beautiful depiction of the love of a parent and the sacrifice involved in giving their child up to an unknown future.

Beautiful fic- I read both this one and 'A Mother's Prayer'... they were a nice insight into what ObiWan's biological family must think... I mean realistically they would have heard about him, being 'The Negotiator' and all. How would it be to know your own child- but only by name? -sighs-

Fantastic fic, thanks for sharing.

T_T *sob*

This was beautiful. I've wondered about, and played with the idea of writing a story with, Obi Wan's family. Especially as he becomes more famous, they must surely be following his adventures. However, I never thought about what their reaction would be to Order 66 and the rise of the Empire.

The emotions here were so vivid and real. I love the opening about females being weak, and the way Mr. Kenobi contradicts the statement. I also love the tidbits about Obi Wan as an infant, and the insight into his parent's personalities, as well as the note about his grandmother.

This is so touching. Nice to see the lose of a child from a man's point of view.

Great description of Obi-Wan as a baby! So cute!

Now we know where Obi-Wan got his strength. His mother kind of reminds me of Padme in her strength. I love when you start really getting into Obi-Wan's father's head. His doubts. All the questions he has for his son. It's all very heartwrenching. It's very good.

"I love you, my son. May the peace of your Force be with you."

This just grabbed at my heart so tightly. How ironic that Obi-Wan's father doesn't know that his son was one the Jedi who lived!

Awesome story!
