It's cool, Reid is over 20, it's not like he was an orphan (other parental figure), and they care for each other so it's sweet.

Although I'm fully away that Crushing on Your Mentor is psychologically regressive, a la V for Vendetta (the graphic novel), but as long as it's consensual...

"Well, I'm heading home. If you want, I have a couch and spare sets of clothing that probably won't fit you."

This line made me laugh.

And then the rest of it - wowzers. I mean, Reid's age aside, it's mostly just the social prejudices that Gideon's fighting with himself about.

And Reid IS an adult, no matter how much it seems like otherwise sometimes. Heh.

that was amazing. I stand in awe of this story, truly amazing work. Gideon sounds more like himself here then in just about any story I've read. So much guilt and uncertainty about his personal life, his total terror in becoming close to anyone younger then himself. Beautifully done.

I read this story on livejournal once and couldn't help but read it a second time. it's just so overwhelmingly beautiful... I love it and I yearn for more of it.

wow, its written very well...i'm a huge fan of criminal minds..its practically my favorite show...but if ur gonna make a slash, a reid/hotch slash would be SO much hotter! lol
