I personally think it was Chase's dad who spilled the beans (stupid I know, but I can't think of anyone else) so then Chase would have to come back to Australia, which is what he wanted. Anyways, this story is really good!

Hi there, I know this hasn't been updated in ages but I hope that you will once again pick it up and update. It's far too awesome of a story to let die. If you don't update it, would you at least put a summary up that shows how you intended for the story to go? Really finishing the story would be best, but a summary would be ok too. I really want to see a Deaf!Chase and how he adapts to the changes his loss of hearing brings him.

I really enjoyed this story, and hope someday you continue it. I'm impressed that you included accurate details, such as the difference between Auslan and ASL, various oto/audiological tests, the fact that there are deaf and hard of hearing doctors in practice today, and an oblique reference to the Association of Medical Professionals with Hearing Losses. I'd expect hearing loss to be described in decibels, not percentages, especially among professionals, but laymen's approximations work for storytelling purposes. And I *loved* the term "multi-boasting." That suits House perfectly. :) I also enjoyed the scene where House rips into the turn-coat in the department.

On the few occasions I have see audiologists in ff stories, they are usually shown in a bad light. So I wanted to thank you for showing the audiologist as a valuable, contributing professional (who valued her patient's privacy, as well). I also enjoyed Chase's thoughts on the individual tests in the audiological evaluation battery. Thank you! I look forward to continuing to read your story.

You have a good premise and arc for a great story and ending - like many who had logged on to read - we look forward to a great bang to the finish. Why not? It's a great story, different esp as Chase has gone home to find himself... now we await you to let us off the hook! :-)

I know this hasn't been updated in over a year, but I do so hope that you do eventually. Foreman being the mole was an interesting development, as was Chase leaving for the month. Foreman could be in some serious legal shit! Though I believe that if Chase hadn't been the rat in the series, or had held off a little longer, Foreman wouldn't have held out much longer. I've really liked the pacing of this story. You've also done a great job with Chase in general in regards to his Australian...ism. The little points here and there about the differences between Aus and the US are the kinds of details which, as an Aussie myself, really make these sorts of Chase-centred fics ping; for example, the road rules and Auslan were great touches. You have his voice spot on with appropriate vocab to boot! (I was especially chuffed to read him say, "rack off" somewhere along the way)

My one personal pet-peeve though is when a story contains the events of an episode and they're followed really closely in the fic - for example the mafia patient of the week. I don't like it when dialogue is so similar to an episode I've already watched, because I've already seen this. I would just summarize the bits which stay the same and place the emphasis on when the cases differ from the show, how the way your plot has changed the course of events for these characters. Like I said, this just something that irks me personally. I know a lot of people don't find it at all jarring, so feel free to disregard this.

All in all, I'm really enjoying this story so far, and I desperately hope that it's updated. If you ever need advice on Australian vocabulary/customs/slang etc, feel free to message/email me - though you've done a fantastic job with it and doubt that you could improve much more in that respect!

This is AMAZING. Well-written, complex, and utterly gripping. Your characterizations are near flawless in my opinion, and your attempt at witty banter doesn't fall flat like it does with other writers. I can almost see this story unfolding as an episode in my mind's eye.

You handled the whole "Chase snitches to Vogler AU" thing beautifully. Instead of making him a complete different person than he is, you gave him a new motive, something that could truly have happened. Foreman's deception and subsequent betrayal is so plausible I am having difficulty believing he DIDN'T do this in canon. Fantastic work! Please update again soon.

Okay this is unbelievable. I absolutely love this fic! I can't wait for whatever happens next. Is Chase going to hav to give up the Fellowship completely, is going to get his hearing back just as his dad dies or even at all? And when he does decide to stay and tells House does this mean that Vogler will fire him? So is Chase going to start play music to his father when he's in the hospital or is that just way too sappy? Does this also mean that the awesome single mon Kayla character doesn't die or is Chase just not going to be there when she's addmitted? Oh this is actually better in a way than the series. Especially some of the newer episodes. So if (and this is all speculation) Cameron resigns, House presumably fires Foreman, and Chase stays in Australia does that kick off the Fellow Battle episodes early or are you going to keep the orininal team together at the end anyway? I really like where your taking the father/son relationship with Chase and Chase Sr, its so cool I really liked the description of the Rowans house as well and if in this he doesn't have a wife or kids or anything does that mean that he is going to leave everything to Chase and so he finally will actually be rich?

Anyway whatever you decide to do I'm sure it will be just as good as everything before hass been and that is pretty freaking awesome!
