On a note, Majoume calls Asuka "Tenjouin-kun." To have him call her "Asuka" would be weird considering in Japan you only call someone by their first names if they're extremely close. And if you call someone by their first name without suffixes, you're super, super close!

"You know," Manjoume said as he lowered his lids, a small smile slowly forming on his lips. "I used to be exactly like you, always looking down at everyone below me. I've changed, you know how?" When he was answered by a blank look, he continued, "I only look down on some people." He smirked in amusement. "I know there's a moral in there somewhere, but I'm too lazy to think of it."

Alright, you know I have problems with accepting this relationship, especially due to THAT episode...BUT, I must tell you that this is very believable (in an 'I-will-never-ever-believe-that-they-are-a-couple-way' but you see my point).

Anyway, what I wanted to say most is that the way you portray Manjyome in this fic makes me love him. If a guy acted like that with me, well, we'd probably get married *cough* yeah right *cough*

The description in this story is AMAZING. I like this a lot. And that's saying much, because I HATE Asuka, and you kept her in that snotty, bitchy character she is. Anyway, the point is this is a very well written story, and it's going on my favs.

I always thought Manjyome and Asuka's relationship was very intriguing and this showed a new way to look at it, if that makes any sense.

Asuka was so cautious and still Manjyome got his message of love through to her...

Oh...my...God...! I loved it! Manjyome's witty remarks killed me dead! I was killed dead with this:

“I’m sorry…I don’t remember reading it in my handbook ‘how to seduce an ice queen for dummies’ that manipulative ploys were mandatory to win the girl over.”

And then I was revived and killed again with this:

“Yeah, that’s my name—nice to know you’ve been listening to the roll call every morning, glad that’s established.”

I rolled with laughter! Poor denial Asuka. I don't know why she wouldn't accept Manjyome's love. I would. *shifty eyes* I'd have his evil, rich babies.

And I can't believe you did this for me! I feel like crying! Tell me if there's anything that I can do for you in return. I don't have the internet at home right now, but I can always go to my school's computer's and get on the net from there.

Wow. You know, I usually stay away from Asuka/Manjyome fics because I'm not attracted to characters with the personality of toast, but I was intrigued by the title (plus, it helps that I knew I'd get something good if you had written it). I'm glad I did!

Anyway, I love the language in this. I do have to say - if I were you, which I'm obviously not, I'd drop the "how paradoxical..." paragraph. It screams 'pretentious' to me. But hey, like I say, you don't have to take my advice.

You pointed out something I really liked - that there's really no reason for Manjyome to truly love Asuka, but love is inexplicable and doesn't require reasons. Much love (ha) for that insight.

I really like this story. I love the way that you portray their relationship.
