This is really good, it's a nice assessment of what is a pretty big unanswered question in the DBZ universe. Plus Piccolo's characterisation is really excellent (as is Kami's). Sometimes I found the language of Piccolo perhaps a touch too modern considering he hasn't interacted with people much before this time but the tone, emotion, and pacing more than make up for it. It's a shame you've retired, I'd love to read more of your writing on Piccolo's changing character, you do a really good job. This was very touching.

This, this was just so beautifully written, like omg, words cannot express just how amazing this was! It was just so perfect and what made it even more so, was that Piccolo was completley in character! Reading it from his pov, was just so well done!

I swear, on that 1st scene, reading what he thought during his sacrifice. Feels man. Major feels. I wanted to cry. And then freakin Kami, of all people defended him from going to hell! It's funny and ironic. Maybe this is another reason why Piccolo can't stand Kami, I mean, if Kami really did do him this favor..

Well, needless to say, I highly enjoyed this fic. It was beautiful and so realistic to what could have happened. Fits in canon perfectly. Thanks for writing this! :)

Hello I really enjoyed this story,Im sorry Im really terrible at reviewing but there is something I want to ask you since it has been bugging me for quite a most of the Piccole fics Ive read Piccolo refers to Piccolo Daimao as his "sire"(I know what that means)I wanted to know if he calls him that in the english dub or somewhere else or if this is some kind of fanon from Germany and in the german dub Piccolo always refers to him as his "father"

It was all good enough until the end... which was great! I actually laughed out loud when he was complaining about Kami while referring to him as God and then asking "Does he have to know everything?"

The dialogue in this story was really good.

Very cool! I never considered why Piccolo didn't go to hell when he was killed by Nappa before. It was very in-character, and the love he had for Gohan was very sweet. Nice job!
