Saissa chapter 1 . 2/23/2016 I think I have to agree with Robert Frost - Fire is better than Ice. Interesting that he prefers fire when his own name (Frost) inspires images of Ice! Thanks for introducing me to a new poem by Frost. The only other one I know of, is of course, the famous one about Two Roads Diverging! |
I M Sterling chapter 1 . 1/14/2013 Yum...! |

ilsa chapter 1 . 10/9/2007 Well, I'm quite sure I've reviewed this before, perhaps on another site, but I just read this again, like the reviewer before me, like I have many times before. There really is a charm in this short gem of a one-shot that even your wonderful, longer stories (ie. Dark Roast) do not quite capture. This story really is beautiful, very beautiful, like a snapshot of a moment in time. I'm sure I've mentioned this before too, but - especially in the mention of Lisbon! and the travelling which Snape and Hermione do - a certain air of old-world, European glamour, charm, and indeed a whiff of the romance of Casablanca, which has always been one of my favourite films. Somehow, this fic always evokes Casablanca for me. And finally, I love the open-endedness. It is so beautiful to leave the promise of something more! I think if you ever wrote another chapter, it might lose a lot of its romance. |
fireflies-flicker chapter 1 . 12/30/2006 I've read this a countless number of times on different sites... and it never ceases to interest me. I just love it. I don't know why... Maybe just the simplicity of it. And I love both of their characterizations. They playfully banter with each other and I like that. And then there's how they were both "trapped by their fears". Lovely. great job. |

F. Mellingott chapter 1 . 8/11/2006 Oh-my-goodness! it's so perfect! I don't usually enjoy the pairing of it, but you've made it sound consequential, natural, as a matter of fact! You deserve all the compliments, dear. And Frost here is just the right measure of balance! You're really good! Congrats! |
