Wow, I heard Ash was OOC in this fic, but he seems pretty in character so far. Too bad he's in this fic... and like all badfics, he's going to be warped beyond recognition. Oh Ash, if only you were in better story...
Also, this was written even before Ruby and Sapphire? Oh the irony... Oh author, author, little did your naive little brain know at the time that you were writing a Team Plasma propaganda piece. Yep, I've found the true identity of this little vile piece of Grimer sludge, everyone; a bedtime story Ghethis read to N as part of his brainwashing. It's like I'm reading N's nightmares, it's uncanny. It just all fits perfectly. You know what? When I write fics, one of my specific intentions is smashing the entire premise of this fic into a million pieces. I'm all for darker Pokémon stories. But there's dark, and there's grimdark. This is grimdark. And I hate grimdark like you won't believe.
*sigh* Did the Defenders of the Canon Continuum (I think that's what they were called?) get to this thing yet? I hope they did. I think some of their Pokémon agents will have some choice words for this. Not only does this... thing show a painful case of blissful, willful sticking fingers in one's ears and missing the point shouting lalalsla, but our "hero" is a Mary Sue of puke-inducing degrees, there are writing errors sprinkled all over the place, and oh yeah, GRIMDARK FOR THE EDGY!1!
But oh, what am I saying, GameFreak has provided us the ultimate destruction of this gross misunderstanding of this franchise, even before this fic was published. I only need one thing to shatter everything this fic stands for.

I hate this story so much. "Pokémon training/humans is/are evil" is the only thing you can write when you write about Pokémon. Eon is a sociopath, that trial was rigged and unfair, and you're a misandrist misanthrope who needs to be launched into the sun!
