Random Authoress chapter 1 . 1/21/2007
Very nice. The interaction between Norrington and Jack is great.
LittleMissPadfoot chapter 1 . 10/26/2006
An...intresting method of persuasion XD

"What are you doin' with my cannonball?"

..."I am using it to pull my body into the crushing depths of the sea, Captain," ...

"Not with that, you aren't,"...Norrington childishly pulled the cannonball out of Jack's reach..."Just give me the ball back! You 'ave no idea wot that cost me."...

"I'm guessing that this was one of the balls taken from the Port Royal armory when the Black Pearl set in about a year ago. Am I right?"...

"Wot, you got 'em all monogrammed, Commodore?

Brilliant characterisation loved every minute of this story.

"I hope Norrington doesn't try to kill himself again. Who else is there to save him? Cotton?" Funny snarkage.
HecateTriformis chapter 1 . 10/2/2006
Happy to see Norri (sorry, I just like to shorten everything) didn't die after all. I like the way you wrote Jack. I wouldn't do so myself but I can imagine that scene very well. The same applies for your other fiction wherein Elizabeth played the part of the person who'd stop Norrington. I like both of them very much.
sudoku chapter 1 . 9/18/2006
I read both versions and like them. It is good for readers or the writer but it is very depressing for Norrington. I am not too sure whether he will commit suicide, he is not that cowardly (I am usually confused whether somebody it too bold or too cowardly to commit suicide, I think it is the latter).

Anyway, I digress. Both versions are good, I think Norrington will prefer Elizabeth's way :) You do get Jack character well so you can incorporate him into your other stories *hint**hint*

You can write more suicide stories if you want to though, I will still read them although it is a bit depressing.
Caity chapter 1 . 9/4/2006
Loved it! Great idea for a story, I'll have to read your Lizzie one next And bravo for the way you wrote the characters, very accurately I thought! Especially if you said you've never written Jack before I loved his sly way of getting Norrington to "forget" (or realize he really didn't want to :P) about wanting to killing himself. Great fic..!
teacrumb chapter 1 . 9/3/2006
Ha! I like this version. Nice job Jack, you tricky bastard. It worked quite well. Please do put him in The Greater Good soon!
East-Coast-Invictus chapter 1 . 9/3/2006
Hah! Loved it! You have both characters pegged perfectly and I love the concept of how Jack got Norrington to not kill himself. Wonderful, wonderful. I can't remember if I read Depth or not but I think I did so, yes a very good sister fic.
JeanieBeanie33 chapter 1 . 9/2/2006
No, I think that Jack and Elizabeth are the only people that could convince Norrington not to kill himself.

I think you got Jack down. Sneaky, roguish, yet having good attentions (but hiding it by *being* sneaky and roguish). Oh yes, and mentioning Elizabeth in a suggestive manner, although I suppose that could go with the sneaky and roguish mentioned above.

I liked it, though; both Norrington and Jack are good men, deep down. Not to mention Norrington is desperately protective of "Lizzie," which can be a bad, good, and useful thing.
Nuns-n-Rehab chapter 1 . 9/2/2006
hey, i read your stort where lizzy stops him and i really liked it.

and now i read the one where jack saves him and i liked it ever more! lol

okay, i have a challenge for you, have WILL save him next! seriously, every single story i've read on this site has Norrington and Will constantly bickering. i think it would be really intersting to see the men set aside their differences for a moment, atleast when it come to preventing a suicide. besides, Norrington has known Will just as long as he's known Lizzy, so they have a lot of history together.

anyways, just an idea because i really like your writing and i think you're the only one who could execute such a pairing.
