Love this story. Great insight into the characters. Perfect missing scene/tag to the episode. I find it interesting that whenever Rodney is wounded, his injuries are played down so much. First in The Storm, then Sateda and now Phantoms. Thank you for the much needed angst that this episode needed. I love anything that has Rodney in it. The more the hurt, angst, and whump in it the better.

I love H/C fics, especially when it's Rodney being hurt and needing the comfort. (there just isn't enough of those out there if you ask me.) And I loved this one.

Glad you proceeded with your story. McKay needs to be taken more seriously as a character. Thanks for that.

You do tend to put in too much explanation of how each character is feeling, rather than their outward reactions to the dialogue. e.g."Rodney smiled, continuing to listen but saying nothing." instead of what you have. Also, you could have ended with"...how I ended up,...shooting my best friend." You could bring in the vulnerable look as he starts this last bit of dialogue. Don't underestimate your readers, they are capable of drawing the correct conclusions.

Very, very cool. I love the way John told Rodney about what happened and why he had been shutting everyone out,but especially the way he became friends with Rodney - best friends. That was beautiful. I love a good ending!

This was a very good follow-up to Phantoms. I was so happy that Sci-Fi ran the episode again this evening, because I missed it on the first showing. Poor Rodney! Poor Sheppard! Poor Carson! That may be the episode with the most mental and physical whumping.

I was a bit bummed that Sheppard didn't really seem to be sorry for shooting Rodney. It looked like it was relatively serious too- at least a decent graze to his chest/side. You would think John would be a bit more sympathetic.

This was a good story capitalizing on all that missed angst potential.
