I honestly didnt like this
I dont like how everyone seems to be against Shinji and Reis relationship
Also the ending was not good in my opinion
Also were not going to talk about the fact that Asuka/Eve basically raped Shinji
And I hate how weak willed Shinji is
I would think that him being Adam would give him a stronger will, but hes so damn submissive
All in all, I found this a waste of time

Interesting story overall. I think the evil Lilith angle was fairly obvious from the outset, but even with an obvious twist it was executed well.

I think my only complaints are that it's unclear how Rei was able to break free of Lilith's control, especially as she lost consciousness. Furthermore, the topic of what happens to angels after Lilith loses control over Rei is another question that seemed to be glossed over (they're just... gone). Besides that, the story had some pacing issues, in that everything important (Lilith is evil, cult of adam wants Asuka, Rei starts taking out anyone trying to cause third impact, etc) happened near the end of the story. It leads to the story dragging in the first 70% and careening towards the ending in the last 30%.

Still, it was fun to see an idea that could be seen as a complete crack fic done in a serious and interesting manner.

Wait, I must have forgotten some part of the plot. Is there a reason it has to be 01 and 02 working together? What happened to 00? Since both 01 and 02 need repairs, is 00 somehow in a worse spot? It looks like literally any other pilot pairing (Shinji Rei, or Rei Asuka) would work better in the technical sense (from the pov of NERV). They don't need to pilots to even like each other, they just need to be able to coordinate for a kill, and Rei is likely going to be perfect for supporting and following the pace of her partner regardless of who it is.

Huh, why is it that two of Shinji's close male friends seem to be the only ones who aren't attracted to Asuka? In this fic, Shinji's adam, Rei is Lilith, and Asuka is Eva, right? People like Shinji better b/c of the fragments of Lilith within them, and people like Asuka better b/c of fragments of Adam within them.

It's shown that this effect is present on platonic relationships as well (Kaji and Touji like Shinji far better). But for some reason, Touji and Kensuke seem immune, treating Asuka with either dislike or indifference. It's especially strange for Kensuke, who has nobody he already likes, and doesn't hate Asuka's guts.

While I have some problems of this fic, like the abrupt ending, i still enjoyed myself. Thanks for writing!

Funny thing is the personalities of the mythological Eve and Lilith are more in line with Rei as Eve and Lilith as Asuka i would say... (at least their canon counterparts). Great story so far.

You have a recurring typo in this chapter and previous chapters. Every time you obviously (from the sentence context) meant to write the word nigh, you wrote the word neigh instead. Neigh is a sound a horse makes, and is pronounced the same as nay. Nigh sounds more like nye, and means close or soon.

I really did like this. I'll agree with some of the other comments and say the ending felt a little weird to me, but that doesn't really matter. It's your story and you did what you wanted to. For what it is worth I enjoyed the ride thoroughly. Thank you!

Really, Shinji is such a jellyfish, Rei makes stupid one blunder after another, Lilith always has 'plans' but we never see these plans and everything goes right for Asuka.

Why am I still reading this? It is making me rage so much.

I hope there's an explanation of how 'Eve' came into this.

The explanation for Shinji having Adam was shaky but more or less acceptable with how Lilith explained to Rei her presence affects others as well as Shinji being in close proximity to fetus-Adam.

Anyway, really feeling bad for Rei right now. After the first few chapters of success she suddenly can't catch a break.

*grumble* fricken red-headed, belligerent, cocksure tsundere... *grumble*

A nicely written story and I like it even more since the cast stays mostly in character (and when the develop differently than in NGE then there is a reason behind such process).
The only thing that I find somewhat lacking is the ending, I don't complain that it turned out well (in fact I like it) but I just can't see it happening so easily. After all given the situation she walked on and her feelings prior to it Misato would for sure try to shoot Rei when she found her in the cult hideout. Instead the whole situation was resolved with no explanation whatsoever...
Then again, I would absolutely not forgive the ending in which Rei died so I will stop complaining here ;P

The ending was disatisfying but still an overall good story.
