Very nicely written and a touching little story. Thank you for sharing. :D
Jimelda chapter 1 . 6/12/2012
Nicely done. We don't get to see a lot of Tony and Ducky interaction, so this was a treat!

Cheers,

Jimelda

La Mariane chapter 1 . 11/6/2011
I've just read this story and I really enjoyed it, espcially the parts with Gibbs : he's far from perfect, but when Ducky makes him see that Tony blames himself, he does step up and help.

Laura-trekkie chapter 1 . 10/30/2008
Aw, poor Tony. I'm glad Ducky was keeping an eye on him and that he was able to open Gibbs' eyes in the end. Tony's rescue of Amy was well done- very suspenseful and very distressing at the end, so I was glad to hear she was ok.

I loved how Ducky and Gibbs took care of Tony and it was good to see Gibbs telling Tony he'd done well; lightening his emotional burden a little.
BakerStreetIsLastRefugeOfHope chapter 1 . 2/15/2008
Wow, what a good story. You did really well with Tony and Ducky. I liked the part where Ducky was wiping Kate's blood off of Tony's face. I have a great idea for a new story you should do. They have a big case and come in on a Saturday, and Jethro is worried because Ducky hasn't checked in yet, which he usually does, and Gibbs goes out to Ducky's house, and he finds out from Ducky that his mom died quietly during the night and Jethro knows that whatever he says just won't be enough, and he hugs Ducky and lets him cry himself out, and Ducky goes back to bed since he didn't get alot of sleep after he found her, and the bed is a mess, and Jethro tucks him in, and Ducky protests that Jethro should be back at work and not to worry about him, that he will be fine, and Jethro says that he knows that Ducky will be fine, but some things are more important than work, even if the case is a big one, and Ducky just dosen't have the energy to protest and has another crying jag, and Jethro sits with him and comforts him, and after Ducky goes to sleep, he goes back downstairs and calls Abby and tells her about the situation, and she comes out and cleans Ducky's mom's room, even though there isn't any blood, and they have lunch, which Ducky gets up in time for, and Abby hugs him and tells him how sorry she is about what happened, and they have a nice little hug moment, and Ducky dosen't need to be coaxed to eat, and at first, Jethro won't want to talk about Ducky's mom, but Ducky wants to, and he says that before she went to bed, they watched a movie, Zoolander, and she laughed so hard that she wet herself, and she was lucid, which she hasn't been for a while because of her dementia, and they just talked, and Gibbs asks if there will be some sort of service for her, and Ducky says that his momjust wanted to be cremated and buried there in Virgina, that she didn't want a fuss, but he can't let her go without any sort of ceremony, no matter what she told him, and a friend of his from Scotland will be in town on another matter and will say a few words at her grave, and that Abby can come because his mom would have wanted that, and the rest of the team can come, and Abby goes back to the lab, and Jethro stays a while longer, just to make sure that Ducky will be okay, and goes back to the lab and tells the rest of the team what happened, and that this will be a hard time for Ducky, and to do what ever they can to help him through it, and when Ducky comes in the next morning, Tony fills him in on what happened so far, and when Ducky has another crying jag, Tony hugs him and comforts him, and then goes back upstairs, and Ducky is about to get ready for the autopsy when he notices some flowers that weren't on his desk when he came in and asks Jimmy about it, and Jimmy says that they are probably from one of the other agents who aren't on their shift from upstairs, and it turns out to be Ziva because she wanted to do something nice for him to ease his transistion back to work after what happened to his mom, and Ducky is so touched that he cries again, and Ziva comforts him, and asks if there will be any sort of service, and Ducky tells her what he told Jethro and Abby, and that she can come, too, because his mom would have wanted that, and they finish up the case and have the ceremony for his mom. E mail me right away after you get this review and tell me what you think. i would really, really, really like you to write it. Keep up the good work.
Obsessed Pam chapter 1 . 2/3/2008
hat a great story; full of angst which you portrayed to perfection with Tony. Ducky was just as superb too. And nice to have such a warm contrast end to the taut emotion in the rest of the story.
Silver Acorn chapter 1 . 8/5/2007
I love, love, love this! I just went through and re-read all of my favorite Tony one-shots and this is my absolute favorite. I love all of your stories and Tony, Gibbs, and Ducky are so sweet in this.
aithreachas chapter 1 . 2/12/2007
Nice...very nicely done. You gave Tony's character a depth that we certainly never see in the show. Ducky was perfect as the one to translate what Tony had been feeling since Kate's death to Gibbs. You did a good job here. Thank you. Your story was much appreciated and enjoyed.
