Only just found this one... almost a year after it was written too! I just loved this one! You made John seem more normal -despite being really hard- than a lot of stories... it suited him real well. Keep on writing, u did a great job!

You always get me all teary eyed with the simplest of lines, it's a gift you have.

I loved this story and how it was all about Dean proving that he could protect Sammy, he needed t prove it to John and to himself.

"That’s what I’m here for.” Such a simple sentiment but that statement from Dean broke my heart because he truly believes saving Sammy is what he's here for.

Such an amazing story, beautifully written...loved the angst and of course the hurt Dean!

You need to get writing, I think I'm running out of stories to review :)

Great story! I loved your characterizations of Sam, Dean and John. John holding Dean responsible for Sam getting hurt and Sam totally calling John out on it (and Jim and Caleb also). I could totally seeing taht happen! Glad to see John finally tell Dean how proud he is off him...but saddened that I'm sure it didn't happen as often as it should...as your portrayed.

*sniffles* aww! I love how you have the D/S/J dynamic. Its sorta uncomfortably comfortable :S

Great little story! I'm happy that John had that conversation with Dean and I hope Dean finally realises that Sam is not more important than he is but I'm afraid that in Dean's eyes Sam will always be more important than anyone - bless him!

Another good chapter and damn John again, making Dean blame himself! That man needs a lesson in parenting. But at least he made it right in his own way at the end. Now it's damn Caleb for letting Sam get captured! At least it wasn't Dean's fault this time.
