That's a damn interesting thought process or Rans at the end... Considering the pairing for this fic I was honestly surprised when Shinichi was still so sure he wouldn't be able to lie to her about how he felt if she asked one more time, but it looks like... Well Like Ran has worked out his feelings before he has, and in a way that explains the biggest issue with the choice to keep those secrets from her in the first place.
I'm impressed

Ah god as much as Heiji is gonna be eaten alive by Shinichi when he wakes up for this, I'm so damn glad Ran knows this much at least. The Conan thing isn't out yet but she knows he wasn't brushing her off to keep going to more interesting cases than he could find in Beika, he was thinking of her safety every time he lied and made up an excuse why he couldn't come home yet.
Also is it bad of me to be kind of glad that Shinichi parents kind of... Got a wake up call? I dunno, as much as I love their personalities, their behaviour does not speak of parents who understand that their only child came within a hairs breath of death multiple times to the point he quite frankly shouldn't be alive beyond the first episode let alone all the close calls that came after.

I really like how you handle Ran! I find it really hard to get invested if she's just bashed and written to be shoved to the side one way or another, she deserves better than that

Gotta admit I wasn't expecting that italicised interlude straight out of a romantic crime drama to lead to the photographer who is going to be causing massive problems for our main duo..

Wow, this is one of my favourite fanstories. The way it’s written is fantastic and logical with an actual plot. What I also liked was the way you kept all characters so flawlessly IN CHARACTER and still managed to change the pairing. I actually believed why they fell in love with each other and that makes it all the better.
Too bad it’s in the PAST. You have a talent for writing, it would be great if you could keep it up.

aw. this is an awesome story. it's the onyl one i've read where shinichi had to change back to conan.

Ah yes, the teaser for a chapter that hasn’t happened in 6 years. Been waiting since a few month’s ago and see if there’s any chances for this story. Apparently not. Don’t get me wrong, I’m just a lil’ bit salty from all these great stories that I keep finding that doesn’t have endings or is possibly discontinued. You’re still great and all of that, just wished you updated. I’m sorry that I was salty.

Wow. Just stumbled across this story and must admit that I love it, especially some dialogs are hilarious! I would love to see it continued but no pressure, I know life can be tough.

Looks like we'll have to be satisfied with just a teaser then. Shame, this was interesting although I don't know how those two would handle a relationship seeing as they're half in denial and are mentally the same age and physically 10 years apart. And underage.
