Beautiful. I'm years too late (I just rewatched the anime and found a new love for Meiling) but I absolutely adored this. I think you did right by not including or continuing with a meeting between Sakura and Syaoran. This ending leaves the fic with a dark, realistic, but beautifully done ending. Favorited.

Ouch. Truly heart-wrenching. I need to go reread the last volume of the manga now, so I can get a SyaoranSakura fix. Poor Syaoran, not knowing that he's lost Sakura! Poor Sakura, *knowing* that she's lost Syaoran! And even poor Meilin, waking up every morning and not knowing whether that day will belong to her or to someone that he can't even remember!

Apparently, you are very good at making your reader feel the raw emotion of your work. I congratulate you. I love it; I hate it; I'm definitely adding it to my favorites.

OMG! i so love it and enjoyed reading it. I even told my friends to read it. I almost cried. (hehe). I know it's a oneshot and all that.. but this could actually be a nice prologue. SO cute. aniway. hope to read other stories from you soon. :)

I love the subtle hints you've given the reader as to who the characters are. Although the summary pretty much explains it, I loke how you've refrained from using names and any distinguishing features that may give things away.

Like how you've said that Syao and his wife trained, it's obviously not Sakura, but then you changed it up and used the word gemstone, which in most cases, people automatically think of Sakura's stereotypical 'Emerald' eyes, yet completely forgetting that gemstone can be used about anyone. However if the reader read carefully and paid attention, the reader should not have gotten tripped by a clever ploy.
