Would you ever consider doing a sequel? It would be interesting to read about a dark Naruto. Despite, everything, I do not think that the villagers would want to have Naruto rule them for the risk he can be. The counselors would have to go and make someone else the Hokage to avoid revolt. Remember, the powerful are so only because the mass people allow them to remain in power.

Interesting thoughts you got there. Honestly speaking, I never thought about those similarities that way. Now I actually can see Naruto become a jutsu freak like Orochimaru. The frightening thing is that Naruto is a fast learner. Just remember how long it took for Naruto to learn the Rasengan and the Sage Mode.

I can see Naruto turning against the village.
If even after everything he did for Kohona he is still seen as a threat and not as a hero, if it becomes clear for him that he'll never be allowed to wear Hokage's hat after Tsunade retires... I think it will destroy the last shreds of his loyalty to the village - and he had damn good reasons to see Kohona burn.

please write some more. what happens next. naruto shares similaries with both orochimaru and jiraiya. with orochimaru, it is because they both want to be the best and will do whatever is necessary to reach their goal. with jirairya, both were ignored by their sensei for the so called genious. now, both are geniouses in their own right and with their jutsus. naruto wants to protect his precious people, like jiraiya, but also will do anything in his power to get what he wants, like orochimaru.

Good oneshot, the ending though...well i'm not sure whether i'm supposed to b feeling chills or foreboding or not. Is Kakashi relieved upon discovering the scene at the field or is he worried slightly still. The similarities between Orochimaru and Naruto might be there but were yoou planning to end this to seem as though 'they were watching the wrong boy'? and thus plant doubts in Kakashi's mind or what?
