I'm sorry I didn't review in time for V-Day... I was intimidated by the whole "I don't know the fandom" thing. Silly me.

Unfamiliar charas or no, I think most people can really relate to what Alex is saying (and I like that she has moments of clarity when smoking ganja. It only ever made me hungry and sleepy, hence why I never really got into it. While everyone else was laughing and giggling, I was eating doritos, and watching 'Walker, Texas Ranger' half asleep. But I digress.) But yes, when you've had that special sort of relationship, and it ends (and even if it ends on good terms), things aren't the same after. And it's easy to feel let down by life and love afterwards. But, Alex should remember, just because you had it once, and lost it, doesn't mean you can't find it again.

And Jay, for his part, seems like a man of few words, but then, sometimes friends don't need words. I like that you kept him quiet, rather than having him suddenly become all cuddly and effusive. Don't know the chap, but I kinda get the sense from the 'badass' description that it's not really him.

And again, the huge heart of the author shines through, too. You really do put huge amounts of emotion into even short fics, and that's a rare talent (in fact, the only comparison I can make at the moment is another fav author/friend of mine, Lambbaby. Highly reccomended, if you get the chance to read her, and tell her I said hi.)
