a very beautiful story. i felt it started off kinda slow, but you tied it so well in the end that i dont really care anymore. the irony in gip's death by sun and mother's death by rain was nicely done. favourite paragraphs include the one about regret, and then the paragraph immediately following it. last line was like a stab to the chest.

i sure hope you're feeling much better now, even though you managed to produce such beauty through your misery. always excited to see an update from you, and especially looking forward to one from 'when the sun sleeps'. write more soon D

Wow... That might just be the single most beautiful thing I've ever read. I especially love the Rikku-Tidus interaction and the line "You can't have it"-it's very profound.
