Clarification for the last review... I expected Jack's proclamation- just not so soon (though I suppose 7 chapters isn't that 'soon'...)- or in that way.

Ok- the end note made me laugh- they're doing it to themselves... that's great. I do like angst though- and their arguments/ moments are hot- so all is forgiven :)

Was there really so much gay bullying in your band or is it more for the dramatic effect of the story? Most people that I knew were fine about it or just shrugged it off- if they had things to say, they kept them to themselves for the most part.

As a fellow former band geek and trumpet player I already love it- and that David and Jack are trumpet players- well all's the better. :)
It feels like home to read an almost mirror of my first day of college band. (Never had to march in a parking lot though- well once for bowl game practices- not fun. But your description of the early morning dew was just spot on. I hope you weren't really forced into the after lunch outside rehearsal- yikes- we always had indoor music/sectional rehearsal then- outside morning and evening. But I'm down south and it's HOT!)

A little sad that Mush is a clarinet... I like Spot and Race as drummers.

And I like that you explained all the lingo for the non- band folks- very deftly done.

ok I know you finished this story for ever ago, but I just finished reading it. I started reading it at about 11:30pm and could not stop reading it til I finished! It was really good, different time period and different angles on the group but it seemed to really work! I liked this story,perfect interuption to sleep. Oh it took about five and a half hours to read and I didn't want to stop reading, I really didn't!

I died. You killed me. So much love for this story. Also, I hate homophobes like I hate Nazis. Ugh. This was beautiful and glorious and I loved the religious aspect; just because you're a believer doesn't mean you have to hate gay people. Who are often adorable. Especially David. Seriously, I just want to stick him in my pocket and take him out when I get sad. XD

Ah! Cym, I'm sorry this took me forever and a day to review. I decided to go back and reread the entire thing. And then I was also rereading other things and betaing and writing and having a life.

But, AH! Oh, how I love it.

Blink... This is definitely one of the best written Blinks in existence. He's wonderful. I love how touched he is at the paper.

David as EIC is great. And oh the punniness. And I really enjoy Sarah. She's actually cannon, but you know... interesting. Kristy is one of my favorite OC's ever. I actually don't know why, but I can really understand David having a female friend like that.

Then *squees uncontrollably* the ENDING! I want more. I love Jack. I love his teasing.

And I WANT MORE WOMAN!
