I loved this! why hadn't I read this before? I was impressed with the level of detail this has. I didn't want it to end, now I wish there was a continuation of the story, I'm left wanting more, this story has a lot of potential for it to continue. I loved it so much!

Wow this was amazing, the best pokemon story ever written!

I remember having read this story yearsss ago and it just fell back into my radar. I read your A/N for the last chapter and I'll definitely give this a go one more time because my younger self had loved it and I'm sure I'll enjoy it even more now. Love your stories! I've been reading fanfiction on this site for over a decade and have so many favorites and so many I've forgotten but you're one of the authors I can still remember by name :)

I- I don't know what to feel or think right now. This fanfiction blew my mind it is so brilliant. The heartache and passion I felt during this story was sure to compare with the one some might feel while reading an actual book. It was so good. Where do I even beginn to express my gratitude for sharing your impeccable skill? This was just so well written. Bravo! I am so grateful that i got to spend my time actually being passionate about a plot in a fanfiction again. I myself actually ship Pokeshipping but my god. The Egoshipping story line was beyond perfect. How they slowly got closer and more protective of one another. You can feel it because it seems like a real connection. The story it not rushed. And the loyalty while not being loyal towards Ash. My god i am an emotional wreck. Just know that you made my last 2 days and are one talented individual and i'll make sure to check out your other stories! Thank you!

Seeing you say you rewrote it, I had to dig into this story again. I read it many years ago and was enthralled by your words. The chemistry between Gary and Misty is as always, amazing. You have a way with words, sparks are always flying between them and I love it!

I also like the Pokemon touches you add in here and there. Scythus-slash, Tauros-shit etc. They just add that little extra bit of detail that this is a Pokemon world after all.

I honestly cannot point out who the new character is. It's been years since I read the story, but I feel like Vaporeon might be a new addition...? At least, I don't remember a scene with Gary cuddling a pokemon on the bed haha.

Gary being on the dark side of Team Rocket with Misty being kidnapped is a perfect premise for the both of them. It really was a case of Stockholm syndrome, but you made it work. Falling in love with your enemy has never been so sweet. The story was very well wrapped up and I even liked the addition of Ash teaming up with Lance.

I've also always adored the way Gary gets flustered when Misty meets him on the beach and she says something like looking for the man she fell in love with, and Gary chokes up. Loved that part, seeing the composed and calm Gary get thrown for a loop.

This will probably stay my favourite pokemon story forever.

Oh my goodness THIS STORY MADE MY DAY. I can't believe I didn't find it earlier. Your writing is beautiful. Gary and Misty are so passionate and their chemistry is insane... A bittersweet ending for Ash but I know he'll find love again! THANK YOU!

A little update from my first review, just finished reading and the moments you've added and the new character made their time that much more special and gave extra depth I never even realized was needed. I can't imagine this story without the revamped content. The only change I would suggest is adding a chapter of years down the road what happened to them, or even a new series regarding if they were discovered by team rocket or even just their adventures down the line in some short side stories. Your stories always have a way of captivating me and sharing the joy, excitement, sorrow and rage the characters feel. My sincerest hopes that you continue to add to the Misty and Gary fandom writings as so far this has been an easy favorite amongst the writings of this ship.

I saw this got updated and to my delight that you've decided to revamp the whole story, including adding in another character. I've not yet read this, however I had reread this story a few times, the writing was amazing back then and I'm excited to see what has changed and your style after reading your recently uploaded story, I made a review there too, here's hoping it'll keep you active and writing more fanfictions. I'm always partial to the ash Misty Gary dramas written, ash doesn't deserve Misty half the time when he's written with his things, but it adds a whole new depth to the tragedy of it all. Eager to get this started and once I've finished reading it, I'll be leaving a new review of my thoughts, though I'm sure it's going to be heartwrenchingly lovely and addictive already.

how much Misty and Ash loved each other kinda turned me off on this one... I prefer it when you don't include Ash at all or when you make it clear neither him or Misty have feelings for each other

I am a pokeshipping fan, not an egoshipper. That doesn’t mean that I didn’t enjoy reading this story as I have been suffering because I always support Ash. You have excellent ideas and a awesome writing style. I always thought that if this story has a second part, Ash deserves to find another woman. May be Melody?

I can’t believe it. I didn’t expect that one of my oldest fave fics here was updated, so I was really surprised. I’m not active in the Pokemon fandom anymore, but this story made me crave egoshipping fics again.

Honestly, I tried to remember the story before. I only got scraps and I’m not even sure if they came from this story, but by any chance, was Gary’s old Team Rocket name “Onyx” or “flame” or something similar to these two before? I remembered that Misty was kidnapped by team rocket, but sadly, I can’t remember past it just that I know she ended up with Gary at the end.

I’m just glad I got to read the remastered version of this story. I feel like the story would stick more since it also appealed to my more “mature” taste. Although this was supposedly only rated T, I was dearly hoping for steamy , as mentioned, I have a very hazy memory of what transpired in the old version, but I definitely would remember more from this. For a very long time, I read this fic from start to finish in one sitting.
