This was beautiful. I love Marie Antoinette, but I love her husband more and it makes me so mad that he's so ignored in history.
You captured his personality beautifully. I know this is a few years late, but I really hope you write more pieces like this. Cheers :)

This is wonderful. There needs to be more historical fan fiction in the world if it's anything like this!

Mademoiselle Anime Amour chapter 1 . 3/8/2011
This was a nice little one-shot. I'm glad the spirit moved you enough to make a fanfiction out of that. It's not so weird, considering this did turn into a movie. XD It was so bittersweet toward the end there. It's like Marie Antoinette never quite appreciated her husband until the day they died...in the movie at least. Who knows what happened in history?
heartcrux chapter 1 . 1/6/2011
This was truly beautiful.

You shed new light onto their quiet relationship, a romantic yet innocent light. I absolutely adore it.

Bravo! :)

I couldn't help but feel my heart sink towards the end of this oneshot :( the story of Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI is so confused and tragic. But all of us know that not everyone has a fairytale ending to their life.

I've just watched the movie two nights ago, and I found it strangely and beautifully haunting. Reading this fic has made me fall deeper in love with how the characters were portrayed in the movie to represent the legendary doomed king and queen of France.

Cheers :)

That was beautiful! Simply beautiful! I wish I could say more but words fail me at the moment.
but seriously chapter 1 . 1/2/2010
That was BEAUTIFUL. And sad. AND BEAUTIFUL. My sister doesn't get why I love the movie so much. Or the pairing. Psh, I don't get it either, but it's just... gahh. I love him, Louis.

And I love how effortlessly the story flows. It never really occured to me that Louis felt out-of-place beside Marie, so this is a wonderful take on them. When I searched, this was the only Marie Antoinette oneshot that I read which didn't make me want to shoot myself in the head, so (this sounds annoying) but could you please write more? Preferably Marie Antoinette/Louis XVI-centered ones, :D!

i just finished watching the movie actually and was looking for a well written fan fiction.

Yours was exactly what I was looking for.
thunderings chapter 1 . 4/23/2009
Wow. Marie Antoinette fanfiction is very hard to come by, so I'm glad that I found this! I'm both shocked and stunned. This story was gorgeous, and has to be one of the best things I've read on this site. I like to thing Louis really was in love with Marie, and I think you captured his, and Marie's personalities wonderfully. I loved how you showed them together during some of the best moments of their lives, and ended it with the worst. This story was romantic without being overly so, and sad enough to bring me to tears.

I don't say this often, (just because it sounds quite annoying) but I think you should write more Marie Antoinette stories. Not only is there a lack of them, but you write beautifully. I myself am writing a MA story, and can only hope that it is as good as yours. :D
