I couldn't tell you the amount of times I've read this story over the years. It was a favorite on my old account I git locked out of, and it, and it's author, are favorites now. It's such a desperate story; relatable in various ways. When I'm between fics or I get the inkling for bleach, I almost always reread (or have the app read to me which makes names interesting lol) this story first. I've been following Shades of Grey since I found it, and while the wait between chapters can be long, it's very, very, very much worth it. I impatiently await the nect update

Wow, your summary truly does not do justice to the beauty of this fic. I cannot begin to express how much I enjoyed reading it. Every time they hurt, it teared me apart. Every little moment of peace they had, it made me smile, happy feeling curling in my chest. The only regret I can express is the sheer idiocy of Isshin (and I had believed he would come to this war, having learnt, maybe not is lesson, but the fact that his children need protection he can offer)

You know, it is so rare to find a hidden gem in this site that sometimes I almost give up. I am not a big fan of Ichigo/Kisuke fics but you actually managed to convert me with the oneshot that started this storyline. I am so glad I didn't just flip past this fic and read through it even if it hadn't been updated in a while.

You have an unbelievable grasp of the characters, something that most published authors don't manage to convey in their text. If there is one thing that is missing, it is Kisuke's absolute brilliance in science but this fic doesn't really focus on that. You make it absolutely believable that Ichigo would behave in this way after a war that was more devastating and longer than the canon version. I've always disliked Isshin's character, as well as Ichigo's penchant for forgiving others on the spot, no matter how badly they fuck up his life. I get that it's a character trait that makes him approachable to wider audiences but I do like the edge you've given him.

There are a lot of other compliments I can give you. Your text is near flawless, the storytelling compelling and the drama believable and touching without being overbearing. But I guess this sums it: You've inspired me with your story and your style. Thank you for sharing this with us.

I am actually crying right now. This is just do unbelievable sad...
And God dammit I hate Isshin and Soi foin, they should just do dead... and Byakuya is just an asshole... but is he dead? And I really can't imagine how it's gonna continue.. like how could they possible survive? And I am currently wondering how a relationship with two mens could go... And I must say I love Shiro but would like it more if he also loved Kisuke... but that would be kinda weird, right? And I love this Kisuke, especially with Ichigo and their relationship is so good and intense! I really, really, really wish you would continue because I love this story, because it is absolutely awesome!
