That was so good! I have to say I preferred Remus', but this was still a really good read. I love the teenage sort of angst, and how he compares his relationship with Sirius and the one with his parents. Good job ]

Aww, poor Remus :( There's normally so much focus on Harry's misfortunes that people sometimes forget about what he's been through. I love how he's talking to James, it makes it much more personal. Lovely ]

These are juxtaposed so beautifully. Harry got the short end of the fatal stick his entire childhood. And every time he had something happy in his childhood, it was ripped from him. Nothing to hold on to, and you've captured this poor, adrift lad exquisitely. Well done!

Remus is such a deeply tragic character. So full of life in book three, then broken down systematically throughout the rest of the series. And it really is fate herself that dealt him such a raw deal. Excellent! Now, on to ch. 2...

Good stuff again. The repeated "it's not fair" is very harry and very teenage.

Very poignant and well done. I especially liked "I ponder it all, and my heart breaks a little more each time. I think about how different things would have turned out for us if the seemingly little things had been different", and remus' final conclusion that things probably would have happened like they did anyway, and his hope for the future.

This was excellent! I especially like the part at the end where Remus muses that things had to happen this way.
