This was a big fat fucking disappointment.

It dragged on focusing on the "intricacies" of being lost in translation (which you actually brag about in your author's notes) and the bewilderment with how Naruto's author draws certain character's eyes (despite FMA having several characters with no identifiable pupils or irises) with no attention to the plot. Nobody thinks to get Ed and Al a children's language book, which should've happened by like the second fucking chapter.

Naruto practically disappears from the story almost altogether and you bring in Iruka of all people? WTF?! Iruka is a teacher of ninjutsu, not language. How the fuck is he going to help them learn anything but ninjutsu? Just because you're qualified to say teach auto mechanics doesn't mean I want you teaching me Spanish. It's retarded.

Naruto would've walked his ass to the local library and brought back a see Sakura run book. How hard would that be?

Not to mention you have Iruka activating transmutation circles? Are you kidding me? In order to use alchemy you have to connect to energy responsible for it. In Amestrian alchemy that was supposedly the tectonic plates, the dragon pulse, or philosopher's stones. You also need knowledge of what you're doing. Iruka had no such connection to any of those things. If you're claiming he's using chakra to power a transmutation, he still doesn't have KNOWLEDGE or COMPREHENSION of what the transmutation circle means. You don't see Fu and Lan Fan using transmutation circles even full well knowing that these energies exist. You don't see Al and Ed using the Dragon Pulse even having it explained to them. They can't just start using it. They'd have to be taught. Iruka would have no knowldege of what he was doing whether his chakra could be used for transmutation or not. Scar from FMA couldn't even transmute Ed's automail before he realized it wasn't human flesh.

The only thing I ended up liking about it is the part of the story you didn't tell, which explains why Al lost his whole body.

Could've been a good story, but turned into a joke.

I really hate when people make a big deal about certain characters in Naruto, who supposedly have no pupils. This is simply a stylistic choice every author makes. I don't know whether people think this is cute, but it's retarded to bring it up as if it mattered. People in FMA (like Buccaneer) are often drawn as if they have no irises. Nothing but a single dot which I suppose represents both the iris and the pupil. Obviously if someone's iris is as small as their pupil in the daytime that would make it impossible for them to control the size of the pupil, which is the iris' function, but I never hear people wondering about that. Why in hell do some people wonder about how Naruto characters are drawn? It's boring and adds nothing to the story. With all of the odd features for people to notice in the Narutoverse (vicious scars, masked ninja running around, doujutsu, chimera like ninja, talking animals, people with bugs living in their bodies, puppet limbs, snake eyes & tongues) and THIS is what you call an interesting interaction? Give me a break.

I'm really enjoying this. I just went through 9 pages of crap looking for a good Naruto & FMA crossover. I only found two good stories and neither of them were finished or had regular updates.

I'm just about to give up and I find this one. I like your characterizations so far. Ed and Al are pretty accurate. Naruto is not embarrassingly retarded.
