Guest chapter 1 . 4/9
wonderful story. brought some light to Ron's emotional state at that time as well. This story was really awesome.
ladymisteria chapter 1 . 10/14/2019
This is probably the best story I've ever read in all my time in this fandom...

I'm not big on first-person narratives, but you have captured Ron so well here. His jokes, his confusion, his exasperation, his worry, his unintentional humour. Your teenage-boy voice is fantastic. I know it takes a lot of patience to write around dialogue already included in the book and here you made it look pretty effortless.
I'm a big Ron/Hermione fan but I liked how you downplayed them here; Hermione is just another person present and yes he's in love with her, but that's not the cruz of the scene (and as we know, Ron can't deal with more than 3 things to feel at one time). You also did a great job of capturing Ron's family relationships; his respect of Bill and his confusion that Bill isn't invincible, his acceptance that maybe Fleur's as human as everyone else, his puzzlement about who Ginny is becoming and what's left of his baby sister.
...I actually preferred all that Ron-content (Rontent?) to L/T in this fic, although I'm not sure why.

Favourite lines:
- "How are we going to cope if he is a werewolf because the Burrow hasn't got a cellar" - practical as ever, Ron.
- "Ginny looks so hard. I don't like her looking like that" - what a sad thing to think about your baby sister :'(
- "Not a patch on Fleur, or Hermione for that matter, but I still thought she was OK"
- "...minding his own business in the corner while the women embrace each other and generally go mental" -hahaha
- "declare undying love for him or something" - the 'or something' adds so much to the tone- humour, confusion, distaste.
- "no wonder Tonks has gone a bit Moaning Myrtle" - hahaha
- "it's a relief she doesn't call him Remmy"
- "Normal rules don't apply tonight"

This is a great piece of work :)

Lovely! I really like Ron's POV, and Remus's confession is so perfect. Thank you for sharing!

this is so good!
Guest chapter 1 . 5/30/2016
This was incredibly perfect and I thank you for writing it.

I mean -
Remus and Tonks? Through the eyes of Ron?
Sadness and hope in balance?
Hermione? Bill and Fleur?
Wisdom? Thoughtfulness? Reflection?

There was something incredibly calming about this fic. It was not just well thought out - it was real, and peaceful, and beautiful.

8,000 words, and you've made me love these characters all over again.

Like I said - perfect.

You so perfectly capture these precious moments.
MuggleCreator chapter 1 . 3/24/2016
The choice of Ron as the POV is brilliant. It ties things together a unique way, especially since it shows Ron as he is.
The Remus/ Tonks bits make me squeak. Very, very well done. I love Remus' own "don't care" realisation.
LillianSev chapter 1 . 12/24/2014
Loved this! It's so sweet, although slightly disturbing that neither one of them noticed Ron - whatever happened to constant vigilance, to Auror instincts or werewolf senses? I love it, I love it, I want to take it home and keep it, and it will be squishy and mine, and I will call it my squishy...Or not. :)
Rory Granger chapter 1 . 9/12/2014
Nice treat for your reviewers! hahaha!
I would review anyway, I really liked this story. I liked the way Ron describes Bill's face, like a mundane object. I feel he's not ready then to accept the scars or even the attack. And then, all the explanations and his feelings, I loved it. The way he promises to be nice to Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle was funny, like a kid negotiating. And then, how he feels for Hermione, even when he doesn't notice that much at first, made me smile. Just a thought here and there, which proves he's thinking about her all the time. Finally, I loved Remus and Tonks exchange, punctuated by Ron's funny thoughts. And loved the ending, how he understands his feelings for Hermione and really desires for her to love him as Tonks loves Lupin. Nicely done, congrats!

Amazing story!
The Unnamed Avatar chapter 1 . 1/12/2014
Quite a bit of angst, but it all just builds up until the point where Remus gives up and tells her. Everything he said, and how he felt was romantic, sweet, and didn't sound cheesy at all to me.
But it must have been extremely awkward for Ron to have witnessed all of that. I wouldn't mind seeing the version without anyone watching it. ;)

I think this story's great, Ron's a really interesting character to narrate from and that doesn't happen that often. Also Lupin and Tonks are just adorable, so thanks x

Really good writing but not enough please write more
raquelicious chapter 1 . 7/21/2013
Bloody brilliant, as Ron would say. I loved this being his perspective, because nobody ever does think about this in Ron's perspective. And you never do think about Ron feeling like Lupin does, like he's never good enough, and worrying about Bill feeling the same way now because he'd never wish that on anyone. And I'd also had that moment, when I was reading the book, where I thought all the kids must have been like, "What? Lupin and Tonks? Wha- When did this happen?!" And Ron's running commentary about the powerful thighs and "I'm thinking rubbish, aren't I?" and "She didn't half give that Death Eater bitch she was up against what for" and "We'll have to move and that's that. We're not letting Bill do this alone" or something to that effect.
(And I'm really filling up your email with messages now, aren't I? Sorry bout that, but at least it's the good kind and not about people trying to sell you George Foreman grills or sending internet viruses or whatever.)
