I like the ending, with the gradually increasing numbers suddenly surprising Kankuro, but I'm confused on a few points. Kankuro was fixing the two broken puppets, and then it says that three puppets are ready - did he get out the practice puppet or what? Normally I would think of his third puppet as the Sasori one, but he shouldn't have that yet. What does WAFSSM stand for? And why are we saying "Six-inch-long bladed instrument of venomous death?"

That was an interesting look at Kankuro's history with his puppets. Seeing his relationship with his teacher develope was cool. The part about when he tried to use his first puppet on Temari? Painfully realistic. What's WAFSSM? Nice fic!

This was a nice look at Kankuro's life. I liked the bond he formed with his instructor and how Ebizu came to give him the tools to repair the puppets. It just seems like they understand him in a way and are the role models he needs.

Wonderful slices of life here. Kankuro's growth and his interactions with others were well written. Just enough detail to be able to visualize what happens at the training grounds and finding Gaara. Liked how Baki can't control his laughter when Kankuro debuts Karasu, but then praises his efforts when the next puppet destroys the sand-Baki.
