Sam said Dean's name a ton in this fic- is his brain quite alright...? :P Ah, but it was neat how he thought of the impala as home. Yeah, it kinda is, isn't it...
...It's also frankly amazing the thing still runs after everything they've gone through. heh. ...and you'd think demons would use it as a hostage or something, considering how much Dean loves it! xD (must be a director/writer taboo, I think! xD)

Oh my gosh, I cannot tell you how happy I was to find this fic. I'd read your first story a couple of years ago; and then on a whim I happened to be looking through some of your other stories and found this sequel.
I practically squealed and didn't hesitate to click on it and check it out.

This was an amazing follow up :D I was alternating between laughing and 'Awwwing' throughout the whole thing.

I think my favorite line had to be the:

"If I tear up I'll kill myself. I swear, after everything that happened, if this gets to me I'll kill myself."

I was literally laughing out loud at that one :D

Awesome sequel. Just loved that the Impala was home to Sam too and he wanted to get back to it. And perfect the emotions it evoked in him that Dean abandoned his 'baby' to get to Sam. Loved too that Dean was so concerned about his little brother that he was happy to wait to be united with the Impala. And eventually being united with the Impala, they were both home!

Great follow up to the last story, I'd forgotten about the Impala, too!

Loved this line: "He sat up, ready to defend Sam from whatever danger there was before he was even all the way awake." Just goes to show how deeply that "protect Sammy" instinct is buried in Dean.

Loved Sam thinking of the Impala as their home, and realizing what it meant that Dean was willing to leave it behind to come for him in the hospital.

Aw, I really liked this! It was so nice, they were going home. I thought it was great that, even though the car was given to Dean, Sam still had a strong attachment to it too. And there's nothing quite like going home when you've been away or unwell, you know? It's enough to make you feel better. I ended up in hospital overnight twice last year (pretty close together actually) and when I got home it was just such a relief! Except for the second time because we were on holiday, but when we finally went home a week later it felt a lot better :) When you have a home you feel instantly relaxed, at ease, like everything fits.

And it's a great thought that the boys have that, even though they've never been in one place for very long :)
