Rape is not a plot device.

Victims that wake up after being brutally beaten, gang raped, and killing some of their attackers rarely make out with someone else, even if that someone else saved them. Anyone who can look at a victim of assault and feel lust instead of horror is sick.

I can see from the other reviews that my experience reading this is not shared by your other readers. Nor will all trauma victims experiences be the same.

But please think about putting a trigger warning on your stories, and maybe do some research on the traumas suffered by rape victims before you write about it.

Wow a lot happened this chapter. Although I can't say I'm surprised with the Tam's medical revalations, it makes sense.

I knew Inara was going to do something (even if on a subconscious level) I'm glad River set her straight. I actually laughed when she threatened Inara all calm like.

I was glad you had Simon stand up for River to Inara, I think her reaction is genuine. She wants Mal but won't give up being a companion. And now, regardless of his memory loss, he's moved on.
