Amon Kashino chapter 21 . 1/16/2017
I give up this thing just keeps dragging on and is to over dramatic for my taste seriously open dialogue and honesty would solve everyone's problems in like 2 chapters instead of 20. Anyways this is just not for me
ghostgrl chapter 27 . 8/7/2016
This was realllllly sweet. I loved it.
Andreaandieann chapter 26 . 4/27/2014
A wonderful story that was incredibly well written. I recently became obsessed with Yu-gi-oh thanks to my wonderful guy friends that can't go one day without playing the game at school during break.
I loved the story seeing as its the first one that I have to say doesn't make me want to tear out my hair at the bad grammar it contains or the illogical actions and plot developments that take place within, so well done. Definitely under my favorites, thank you for giving me something amazing to read that stole away a few of my sleeping hours, but none that I will regret losing :)
Adventuretime11 chapter 27 . 8/14/2013
That was the sweetest thing I have ever read. Seriously, thank you
Rocket6923 chapter 4 . 2/25/2013
I enjoyed the bickering between Joey and Tristan. Very funny.
Rocket6923 chapter 2 . 2/23/2013
I thought the part when Grandpa Muto commented on Tea's attractiveness was funny. It reminded me of a scene from season 0 of the Japanese version of Yu-Gi-Oh! when he said to Tea something like "I see your chest has finally grown 80 cm."
ivyspinners chapter 25 . 1/21/2012
Tea's professional life brought to life. I'm glad you gave us that as well: a strong footing for what Tea's normal day is like. Tea is a lucky girl to have such wonderful co-workers. I love how normal everything is, even with Tea's heart: it gives us a good grounding for the setting and tone and the ending the story is heading towards. I can fully see Tea head-over-heels with her life once she has ALL the pieces together :D
ivyspinners chapter 22 . 1/21/2012
Everyone's voices!

First off, my favourite parts were actually the Tea interludes, interwoven between her exercises. I LOVE that we get to see them, the tacit acknowledgement that the world ISN'T waiting for the drama to be over before resuming, but is pressing the entire time. And Tea's scattered throughts and insecurities were great to see and understand.

But Mokuba's and Leon's sections were wonderfully done, too. It feels just right for their places in the story, and for their characters - geek Leon with his Star Wars made me smile.

And of course, Yugi and Rebecca furthering the 'world is intruding' theme: I loved it. All of it. Awkward conversation and derailed plans and all.

Something I don't think I've mentioned before that I also really enjoyed, really made the story feel REAL, is your treatment of Atem/Tea. Personally, I do ship it - above Yugi/Tea, actually - and I'm glad you didn't just blow it off in a few lines. It was a cause of strife in their teenage years, and whatever else, Tea and Atem WERE friends just as much as it changed the Yugi/Tea relationship. So yeah, basically the acknowledgement made me happy and made the entire relationship between Yugi/Tea feel real. (Brought on by "Hi, Yugi. Y'know how when we were in high school, you had this humungous crush on me? I mean, you never said anything, but everyone knew, and I never said anything because I didn't think of you that way, because I had this humungous crush on your sexy alter ego?")
ivyspinners chapter 19 . 1/21/2012
The show-down I've been waiting for. I love that you didn't pull any punches in the conversation: Yugi and Rebecca are frankly cruel to each other, digging at each others' wounds, and that feels so very true. They are hurt and confused as they ought to be by the past day's reactions. I'd quote back my favourite lines, but it's all of them! Bravo on the absolute emotional, character realism portrayed. Also bravo for working in the Yugi/Tea angle even though they're so much a subtextual influence at the moment.

Again, I absolutely loved your portrayal of Rebecca. She has a strong, powerful voice and her feelings, thoughts, everything simply springs out of the page.

I enjoyed the friendship between Tea, Serenity, Mai and the boys, too. Too often, it's looked over; I love that they're such a strong presence in this story, their show and not tell, that platonic bonds are so powerful (Leon and Mokuba, Tea, Serenity and Mai, Tea and her boys...). Though the highlight of the chapter was Yugi/Rebecca argument and breaking off, the short, adorable scene with Tea was great.
ivyspinners chapter 17 . 1/21/2012
I think this is my favourite chapter of the entire story. It has some of the best writing in the series (Rebecca's thoughts especially in the restaurant, her realization about what she's like), and very strong characterization of Rebecca. That's been prevelant in the entire fic, of course, but this section is my favourite. It's one of the first times we get to see, from her point of view, what her NORMAL life is like; I love that it's Mokuba who learns of it.

I also quite enjoyed Mokuba and Rebecca's banter. You've woven it so well, and they have wonderful chemistry, with or without descriptors in the prose - just their dialogue is wonderful. And the discussion topics - Office, university - are so natural, perfectly suited to the both of them.

The only (slight) complaint I have is the second part of the Tres Amore, where it's Mokuba's POV and Rebecca is trying to distract him. It does wrack up the tension, but it draws a fine line between suspenseful and borderline annoying. For me, it fell just on the suspenseful line, but I thought it was unnecessary: we'd already known that Mokuba wanted to say something important, and the chapter ends on a cliffhanger anyway about him. Still, I enjoyed the prose of Mokuba's feelings - I just thought it wasn't entirely necessary.

Otherwise, everything else about this chapter was wonderful. The Mai, Anzu & Serenity on the beach; the Mokuba/Rebecca date. Even with Yugi and Rebecca amping up to the 'reveal' about Mokuba's role.
ivyspinners chapter 3 . 1/21/2012
Aww. I love the friendship of this chapter, since it's so often neglected in romance stories. Everyone's voices are so pitch-perfect: everything Mai says or does, Joey's way of speaking, just. everyone! Plus, I like the future for Joey running the game shop... though I can't imagine he's stopped dueling ENTIRELY.
Sabrina chapter 2 . 5/15/2011
Err, well I was just reading this and I realized that despite the fact that your story is my all-time favorite fanfiction on the whole site, I haven't ever reviewed it. I mean, I've this story-what, 15 times-and I haven't even bothered to say how much I like it? Sad. Anyways, I'm sorry and all. I hope you write more amazing stories like this one. Or better, send one in to get published. I'd buy that.
