Did I mention I am also a Beagle like Porthos? I have a Beagle brother named Snoopy. Our human takes us for walks so Snoopy and I can keep track of what's going on in the nieghborhood. I didn't know this was your story! I remember I read it some time ago and loved it. It's fun and cute and surprisingly accurate. I mean, that's how I thought Porthos would think. "Mating should be public so everyone know the hierarchy" is so a cool quote. LOL! I can imagine not just Porthos, but Phlox saying it too. I loved this story when I read it the first time and I still love it.

That was really funny. I've never read a Porthos POV fic before. This cute little story has really made my day!

It's great to read a story from Porthos's POV. He's one sensitive little pup...interesting that he thinks T'Pol should be the one to "mate with the alpha male". And Trip as the beta male. And I'm sure Doctor Porthos would make the crew feel better.

My favorite line: "Matings should be public so everyone knows the hierarchy, but humans and human-like creatures do not have the same polite manner we dogs have." LMAO! :)

How I love good Porthos fic, and this is the best! He is one perceptive dog - and why not - everyone else in the crew are at the tops of their fields. I like how you turned the tables. I wonder if T'Pol ever considered that Porthos would like a nasal numbing agent when he was around her? Beagles are hunter/trackers with extremely sensitive noses. Phlox would probably enjoy Porthos' fraterization rules, while Malcolm's coat in particular would turn several shades of red. The gift of the healing tongue - so true! Just to see Porthos about, tongue hanging out and panting would bring a smile to weary humans, and a quick lick on the hand is an expression of caring. Oh yes, in the Expanse, who wouldn't long for the normality of the scent of freshly killed cheese!

LOL, Porthos identifying machine oil...hmm...uh, maybe because Trip brought a small part dripping with oil to the Captain's quarters one time to demonstrate something and Trip got a bit of the oil on his fingers..and scraped it off on Porthos' nose...and said "Hey Porthos, oil boy, O-I-L. Does it taste like cheese?"

Porthos thought: "No, and I don't do antifreeze either, and though deadly, that is supposed to taste good to dogs, stupid human! No wonder you are only the beta in this pack."

And how does Porthos know about antifreeze? Fraid that is another story! Ha, ha.

Interesting idea from one of the cutest members of Enterprise. :D I have one question, though: How would Porthos know that the "beta human who always smells like machine oil" smells like "machine" oil? How would a dog know what a machine is?

Answer that. :) No offense meant, just want to see your response...

But other than that this was a very entertaining read. "I can fight too. He should let me help." Oh, Porthos. You deserve more cheese than we can give!

Mm, interesting perspective on the Expanse with Porthos. I thought the 'I am good at licking wounds' was sweet.

OMG this is so funny and true as well as very sad and august. To a dog life is simple. Poor ole boy stuck dealing with humans. I love that the dog though Archer and T'Pol should be together lol. Not that I dont love T and T but that was funny. Doesnt smell like Puppies hillarious. I hope you do more Porthos stories. He has such a unique perspective.
