I am really loving this story. Thank you for sharing it with us. But I have to say that as a parent I find it hard to believe that any parent would be so forgiving towards someone who tortured their children. Cruciatus curse is meant to be an unforgivable and an Azkaban worthy crime. It makes me feel a little sick that someone who tortured a child (no matter her reasons) got away with it.

As a rue I am not particularly fond of "next generation" stories in the Harry Potter universe, but your story is the exception to that. I like these boys; Alf, Teddy, CJ and even Tony. And Eileen makes me smile. If there were to have been a movie made of this story, Alan Rickman would have been perfect as her father- without stage makeup! At least that's how the movie theater in my mind has it.

I don't know. The "We Belong" series started off well, but seemed to gradually descend into weirdness just for the sake of drama. Dudley moving in nearby, Michelle coming to Hogwarts, the coincidences seem contrived. Angelina is literally unbelievable, not to mention her complete non-punishments for going full Umbridge. Twice.

A gripping story that gradually loses its grip.
