Reviews for Red Ink Remains
Guest chapter 1 . 5/1
"In a world she'll never know, he is a hero. His name is etched on monuments that will stand so long people will scarcely remember what they were built to celebrate, to mourn."

Amazingly Eloquent, deceptively simple and incredibly impactfull.

Guest chapter 1 . 5/1
Hey- she could end up having magical grand kids or great grand kids! Old folk just love to tell stories and I'm sure they'd put two and two together and get four.
Always A Dragon chapter 1 . 10/7/2019
Oh no, you didn't.
You didn't just reference Fred's death, did you?
That kind of thing just makes me want to bawl my eyes out (why does this always happen when read fanfiction?), though in a good way.
I thought this was going to be happy!

Amazing story!
Yukino-chan chapter 1 . 3/7/2019
I am forever crying thanks to your fics. They are really touching!
Ahem27 chapter 1 . 12/1/2018
I love the thought of Fred charming Muggle girls in town with inexplicable card tricks. I’m working through most of your stories and I really like all of them, even though I’m pretty late to the game because most of them were posted like 9 years ago! Thanks though
Emmeebee chapter 1 . 7/6/2018
Oh, this is heartbreaking. You've done a fantastic job. I love the reference to how while she doesn't know about his heroic deeds, she knows about who he was than the people who will one day look at his monument and only vaguely know what he did.
TIGERSAGE chapter 1 . 4/14/2018
A fitting memory for fred
crackedarkness chapter 1 . 6/9/2016
I just cannot tell you how priceless this is. It's one of the most wonderful stories ever.
9ypb chapter 1 . 3/9/2016
I love this so much I can't even.
I feel like I like it too much.
It's just... really, really good.
Anonymous chapter 1 . 11/18/2015
I love how you did the spin off based on one obscure conversation. It really hints at all the small interactions we have in our daily lives and the little glimpses of people that we get, yet we never go on to know their lives or their stories. But here the disparity is so much greater because of the parallel of worlds. It makes me think of the word 'sonder'.
Loved it!
yeohmeishi chapter 1 . 11/1/2015
this is so lovely and sad. i'm imagining her running into George and learning what happened, but i suppose that's not the point hey?
atweird chapter 1 . 9/16/2015
This was beautiful. It really makes you think about how many people come into your life briefly, in small mundane ways, and how they go without a goodbye and you think nothing of it. Excellent work.
le doux frisson chapter 1 . 10/10/2013
So bittersweet, the waterworks are ready now. Lovely idea. Thanks for sharing.
Account needs 2 be deleted chapter 1 . 4/14/2013
Aww that's a really sweet but sad one shot. I lived it
OldMoon chapter 1 . 3/28/2013
A beautiful story. Again. The end is really good. I loved the opposition between the two ways he is remembered and the irony to know that it is a stranger who honors his memory in the best way : laughing when thinking about him.
