I love this so much! All the little vignettes, the poignant feelings along with the hilariousness of Simon's awkwardness, River's perceptiveness, Mal being Mal. So wonderful!

I actually read a bunch of lines out loud to my dog because they were just so damn funny!

I don't often read Firefly fanfiction, but this caught my attention and I'm so glad I clicked on it. It was funny and you captured the characters really well. I really liked it.

I completely loved this story, with all its adorable and hilarious moments. It's really hard to pick a favorite, but I think I laughed the hardest at "Why a dog?" "Because they kill on command." I also thought the characterizations were really good, especially River- very much her not-quite-nonsensical self, but just clear enought that you can figure out what she means if you think about it for a while.

Kudos on writing such a well-done and funny story! :-)
