This story is absolutally wonderful. I have never thought of Sephiroth and Rufus as a pairing-the farthest I've gone is Sephiroth and Tseng...but this was masterfully exacuted. I must admit I panicked with Rufus, wondering what was going on, what was happening that would be so horrible. Once I finally figured it out I didn't know what to think, I love Sephiroth, I always have, even before I really liked Final Fantasy VII...loved his animalistic jade eyes and how piercing they were, his long silver hair...just the raw power that radiated off of him. And to read something like this was, amazing.

The ending was made even more powerful due to the fact I was listening to the climatic part of 'Diva's song' from Blood Plus. Some how the chilling sound of climatic opera was absolutally fitting. I could almost hear the gunfire and rain as I read the last sentance. All together, a wonderfully powerful piece.
