I just had to comment quick, even though this was published ages ago. I totally understand being a devoted fan of Drarry, because they're hot, and practically canon if you tilt your head ans squint, but I'm happy that you were forced to take a step outside your comfort zone. I truly enjoyed this fic and feel that it really captures the characters. Harry the self sacrificing lovable idiot, determined to the end; Sev the cold dungeon bat who actually cares deep down, even if he can manage to be surprisingly oblivious to rather obvious details; and of course Draco who is every inch a Slytherin but uses his powers for the good of those close to him. I get that it's not your usual cup of tea, but I feel that being able to capture the characters anyway so fully is the mark of a great writer.
