10 years after you wrote this, it's still moving readers. I hope you know that. Beautiful, tender, heartfelt, and your use of language is evokative and personal. Fav scenes: Ed overhearing Roy talk to his younger self on the phone, and realizing the man was not at all who he thought; Roy's anxiety about Fullmetal's assessment; that entire last chapter. 3 this story is a gift. Awesome story I'm glad you posted it. :) Beautiful ending, although interesting leaving it to the imagination like that. I can almost see the future with Edward and Roy moving back to Central or maybe to the country if Roy wasn't such a military thinking idiot who deserves to be a General. It'd be nice if Ed could 'come back' as well, perhaps now he can finally explain things to people and live 'normally' instead of being in hiding.

This... Is by far the best RoyEd fic I've ever read. And while I might have only discovered the FMA section two months ago, I can honestly say that I have read quite a bit to know that this is brilliant. Kudos to you for making me overload with feels.
Looking forward to reading some more of your works.
P.s.: I have really enjoyed Misspoken and Object of Gossip, especially. You should continue the latter, should you ever find the inspiration or time or w/e you need.

Wow. Just... wow. I'm glad that Ed at least lived on one side of the Gate. At least one side. Even if Al has a funeral to plan now, there won't (hopefully) be two more to accompany it.

Wow, unbelievable; that was one of the best fics that I've ever read. I loved the progression of Ed and Roy's relationship, and the plot was not only interesting, but pulled off beautifully. A true masterpiece.

I want to think that Ed survives and they move somewhere warmer, but the ending just made me think otherwise. I don't know if I can take Ed dying. I love him so much... Me, Roy, Al, Winry, and everybody else. We love him so much, and if anything were to happen to him, I'd hope I died before so I couldn't suffer the pain. No...no, no, no... It just can't end like this... *sob...

I can't believe I didn't find this story a long time ago! It was such a wonderful story; it was very much believable. I thank you for writing it and your friends for convincing you to share it.
