Sadly, Bonnie had divided them and they lost her. Now Lexie has united them and we can only hope Rhett and Scarlett are busy creating yet another life!

For once, Rhett got the rug pulled out from under him and he doesn’t handle it well. Hope he restrained himself to over-indulging with alcohol and steered clear of whores. If Rhett honestly wanted to see Scarlett, he would have sought her at Tara.

Amazing that Rhett said “please” and actually asked to hold Lexie.

This is an intriguing turn of events! If that dark figure at Bonnie’s grave is Rhett, he has returned to Atlanta. Is this his first visit since he walked out on Scarlett? Did he see Scarlett, but chose to wait until she left?

Even as I read this over a decade after you first wrote it, this story is still perfect. I love that you mention that there is no such thing as happily ever after because we'd probably have a hard time believing it with Scarlett and Rhett. I hope that one day you return to write more stories as you are one of my favorite writers and your writing is sorely missed. Thanks for sharing.

I really like this story. Since you are a really good writer, I would write it over and make it much longer and detailed. And thank God you didn't give her the name Cat or have her born on a table on Halloween with a witch as midwife. I actually have heard a few stories of women who had bad accidents, thought they miscarried but turns out they didn't. So yes, it is possible.
